  1. General Krulak here:

    2. Randy has invited, and Mr. Ron Saunders has accepted, to attend the Aston Villa-ManU game on the 23rd of December. (It's great to know that for once, we are ahead of you all!!!!) Randy will make an appropriate presentation to him at that time.

    Semper Fidelis, General krulak

Now that truly is marvellous news. A HUGE well done to Randy Lerner on that one.

  2. General Krulak here:

Black Sabbath...ahhh yes! Let me look into that one. A little insider info....Randy is a brilliant musician...a guitarist that plays with some of the best ever. I mean it, he is hugely talented.

    General,

I applaud the Black Sabbath idea, the music the players run out to at the moment is pretty much suitable for any team in the league to run out to, we need a 'signature' and have needed one for ages. Ozzy Osbourne was born and bred in Aston and I think Sabbath are all Villa supporters. Who better to provide our 'anthem'?

I would nominate 'The Wizard' as the perfect track for the players to run out to. Instead of that stupid '5-4-3-2-1' thing we have at the moment you just play that haunting harmonica to let everyone know it's time, then the heavy stuff starts....perfect 8)

Very appropriate too, considering Martin O'Neill is a magician, or at least appears to be!

  3. He is the Manager and there is not a single Director who believes he knows more than Martin.

Now THAT makes a refreshing change, that's for sure. If Martin feels confused at any time then feel free to point him in the direction of our life president, I'm sure he could recommend a few players - you'll have to ask though as he doesn't like to interfere in team affairs, honest

Hope your father is in fine health General, thanks for everything again.

    Semper Fidelio 8)

  4. I am on the way out the door but....having spent 4 years in Chester and spent many a weekend hiking the mountains in Wales...you do NOT want to tangle with me in the mountains...unless we are racing to get a pint!!

You all have done well in reading between the lines re. the "stand." Randy is a very special man and will not do anything at this time for all the obvious reasons. We are BIGGER than to stick someone in the eye...yet WE ALL KNOW the score. We just need to stand tall right now.

Hev, at 63 any kiss, sloppy or not, is welcome.

    Semper Fidelis, General Krulak

And that folks, just about says it all (apart from the sloppy kiss bit which is worrying obviously)

The obvious truth is that Ellis was thinking of his own sad, inflated ego right until the end. Do any Ellis apologists want to step forward and defend him now?

Have a safe trip General Krulak, it's nice to know that the club is in good hands for the first time in 25 years.

    Semper Fidelio.

  5. So are you coming to Wales with me or not? Come on, I know waking up to the smell of sheep shit isn't quite the same as napalm, but it sure as hell beats Vegas!

I'm not sure the General will understand that one but :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Funnily enough the first thing I asked the General on Fears site was 'can we please remove those unslightly letters from the Doug Ellis stand?'

Reading between the lines I think there's still one problem with doing that, and I think you can all guess who it is.

General, if you're still reading this I've sent you a PM on Fears site as I guess many others have by now. I hope you have a good trip and your father is in fine health.

    Thanks for everything, semper fidelio.

  6. I am shocked that people think that Gangsters just have to be of Italian American descent... Why hasn’t anyone given out a shout for the Kemp Brothers as the Kray Twins....

    :lol::lol::lol:

Oh God what a shit film that was. Apparently Reggie and Ronnie weren't happy about it either. Bet the Kemp twins are delighted they never got out.

  7. It's between Brando as Vito Corleone, Pacino as Tony Montana and De Niro as either Jimmy Conway in Goodfellas or Vito Corleone in Godfather 2. I chose Tony Montana purely on the strength of having been out on the piss with Cubans in Miami when I was on holiday there. His accent in the film sounds **** up....but it's 100% accurate believe me, they really do talk like that :lol::lol:

Honourable mention goes to Chazz Palmintieri (sp) for his playing of Sonny in 'A Bronx Tale' - one of the most underrated films ever in my opinion. Anyone that liked Goodfellas should watch that film, it's brilliant.

Interesting sidenote on 'Tommy De Vito' from Goodfellas - his real name was Tommy DeSimone and according to Henry Hill Joe Pescis character was nowhere near as hyperactive or psychotic as the real man

  8. Actually not all the way through.

I prefer Dripping Gashes Vol 7

There's no romance left in the world is there.

Pssst - 'Cock hungry axe wounds' is a far better series than Dripping Gashes. Much nastier 8)

  9. Bickster is right though, all the chocolate bars mentioned on this thread with one or two exceptions aren't even real chocolate. I think it has to be 70-80% cocoa solids to qualify. You get the best 'real' chocolate in France but it's not to everyones taste. I don't eat any of the mass produced crap you get from Mars, Cadburys etc. Don't eat the stuff often anyway but when I do I like it to be the real McCoy.

  10. Anything that fits up a womans arse, that'll do fer me

Made a chocolate fondue tonight. Never seen the kids eat so much fruit.

Fortunately, I did not follow Rob's advice in my choice of ingredients, or else I'd be waiting in casualty at the moment...

I actually meant chocolate that fits snugly up a womans botty, like a finger of fudge, or twix, or maltesers

Those jumbo Toblerones you get from the airport are best for that purpose. Not because the woman likes it, just the amusement you get as her voice goes up a note with every 'triangle' that goes in. I actually invented a new musical instument once using a woman, some KY and one of those Toblerones.

Sent my tape of 'wishing' by Flock of Seagulls to Parlaphone and they said '**** off you sick bastard'

That's what happens when you try to create art in this day and age - **** philistines.

  11. Obviously not....remaking the Omen was ridiculous too. I wouldn't mind if they were both 50-60 years old and they were replacing black and white versions but Robocop doesn't look dated at all, maybe the effects a little bit but it's still 'futuristic' looking even now.

  12. they're planning to remake Robocop

    What. The. ****!?!?

Somebody tell me this is a joke!

Read the very first post in this thread - it was news to me as well, can't **** believe it. Absolutely unforgiveable.

I could forgive the Texas Chainsaw remake cos of that bird running round in a wet t-shirt but as long as my arse faces south Robocop should stay as it is.

  13. Why is the second Rambo in there and not the first? The first was by far a better film, surely? Oh before anyone queries it the first one came out in 1982!

I thought the 2nd Rambo film was shit to be honest, pure shit. Best Arnie one was Running Man, quality film, taken from the book by Steven King (not a lot of people know that)

I'm still reeling from the news that they're planning to remake Robocop, how the **** can you improve on something that's already perfect????

Stupid, stupid move and I hope it bombs.

  14. Being the decrepit old git that I am I've still got some stubs from the very first concerts I went to at the old Odeon in .The Cure were £4.50, Psychedelic Furs were £4, OMD were £4 and Depeche Mode were ridiculously overpriced at a fiver.

    Happy days....

I think I was probably at all of those gigs :) Wish I still had the stubbs though

Oh and cheers Blandy, just scored myself a couple of SR tickets, two together in the circle row k - see you there for a pint or six

A man of taste, obviously :) I saw loads of bands between 84-90, since then it's been one every couple of years or so though, the music just ain't as good any more if you ask me. Bloody hell I've just remembered I even went to see Captain Sensible back then

  15. What did you order?

Indian, had to do what the poll said. Lamb Tikka Buhna, with a couple of samosa's on the side and a keema naan. Pretty boring realy, but tasty all the same.

I had my Nargis kebab, Dhansak and Nan with a Tarka Dhal. Ring of Fire isn't an adequate description.

Think I might go back to Bhunas for a while, a bit less potential for explosiveness there.
