I'd got a ticket for this gig, which I purchased in 2020, hoping that covid would be over by the time of the original date. I was going to go to this, but decided to give it a swerve, for the very reason you've alluded to.

Although his band's music leaves me cold, I respect that he was very good at what he did, and he seemed like a good bloke. Sad to hear Taylor Hawkins died. RIP

I've just got really into watching Pat Finnerty's channel of late. Really funny content about music, with his "What Makes This Song Stink" series being my favourite. This one is masterpiece:

Rod Marsh and Shane Warne within hours of each other. Warne actually posted about Marsh on his twitter. Absolute shocker. RIP to both. Warne undoubtedly the greatest leg bowler (if not any any bowler full stop) ever to play the game.

I went to the T in the Park that Bowie was supposed to headline (mostly to see the Pixies reunion if I'm honest though). Unfortunately he broke his arm and had to pull out. He was replaced by The Darkness. I still shudder thinking about it. 

I've got a mate who is very friendly with members of The Coral (he also took some photos for their last album inlay). He sorted out some guest passes for a festival/gig thing in Scotland that they played at. I wasn't too bothered about seeing them, and was a bit busy, but nothing I couldn't have made an excuse for, so didn't go. If I'd checked to line up I'd have seen Teenage Fan Club were playing, and I would have almost certainly got to meet them. Was a bit gutted when I realised. I have seen them before though, but still.
