I think he will need to throw in a couple of kids to freshen things up. You need energy to win games.

We don't play Liverpool until Monday night which helps a bit. Spurs have Burnley before thst so will hsve to see what transpires there.
-
Never known a more horrendous season for injuries and to be 7 points clear of the 5th place team with a couple of games to go is a bloody miracle. Nothing more he can do just hope we have something left in the locker to get us over the line if needed.

Spurs look so easy to score against
-
He's captained us to 4th in the table. They were all off today. Watkins. Bailey, Diaby.

-
He had a tough game and gave the penalty away.
-
Should have done better with the penalty save. Just kidding. He had an outstanding game.
-
Second best. You can blame the ref but really we deserved nothing today.

Only player at it is Olsen. Real lack lustre first half.
-
Thank god for Olsen
-
First time he touched the ball in ages. Neither team look a threat this half
-
It's the team I expected except for Martinez. Hope in the double Pivot Mcginn is the deeper one and stays disciplined. We have enough going forward to score a couple of goals just need to protect Olsen better than we have been doing.

Just a coming together. Never a pen

Wont happen, but I wondered last night if we'd take advantage of having an advantage over Spurs and rest some players for this ahead of the 2nd leg - I think quite a few would benefit from a week between games.
Olsen
Konsa, Carlos, Torres, Munroe
Iroegbunam Luiz
Diaby Rodgers Zaniolo
Duran
Gives Digne, McGinn, Bailey and Watkins a rest, whilst taking no chances with Martinez and Tielemans.
We can't take chances on a game like this. We've worked all season to get top 4

He plays where Unai puts him. Unai has decided he wants him there instead of McGinn or Tim and he's probably right.
He's been poor for 4/5 months.
What constitutes turning on him? I think he's been crap recently.
Ah right, this is turning on him.
Second sentence is ok.
First one? No. You can't say riding a gravy train when he's been so involved for the last 5 years.
I'm pissed off because I want him to stand up when we need him. He often has.
I'm not having performances drop off a cliff because another player is injured. That's not acceptable for a key player for us.
He's just isn't very equipped to be the deepest lying midfield player. Never was. Hes an 8 not a 6.

Or he could just fight for his place in the squad. Don't like these buy back clauses if relegated. Basically made it a loan deal.
-
He's not happy in the role he's asked to play. Has bags more freedom when Kamara was in the side. Shouid not be the deepest of our midfield players. Need to correct thst against Brighton

Our midfield without Tielemans and Kamara looks pretty damn poor. I think he could well improve it.
It wouid be more solid if Mcginn played deeper like where Kamara played instead of venturing forward allowing Luiz more freedom.

It’s not only about resting but about having some presence in midfield, we look really soft in that department. Brighton will be pressing so we can’t just lose the midfield battle.
Move Konsa to rb. Carlos back in and tell Mcginn to hold his position instead of venturing forward. Obviously Diaby and Rogers need have to do their bit and we will be a lot more solid.

Probably better off going back to Konsa at rb and Carlos alongside Pau to make us more solid at the back against Brughton. Brighton don't score many so keep it tight and we win the game.

Cant see him being trusted against Brighton. Out the three games remaining it's on paper the easiest one to win. And if we win it we are virtually assured of 4th spot. Then we csn focus on Thursday rest players in the final two league matches.
-
I don't know why he wouid be exhausted when hes had a 2 game suspension plus an international break. Constructive criticism is fine. Anyone can miss a penalty but we just need a bit more out of him at Brighton.

Our midfield is the problem with just Luiz and Mcginn. I'm not sure what we can do about that. Players like Rogers and Diaby if picked are going to have to give plenty of support. What we need is control In this game. Keep it tight and take our chances when they come.

Spurs have to win at Liverpool to stand any chance imo. 3 defeats in a row hss cost them there chance. I don't think Burnley is by any means a given win. Burnley will give them a game.
