Put simply: Extra games = higher profit on the Profit and Loss account (assuming prize money from UEFA, gate reciepts and extra revenues generated from games are more than the cost of staging the game). This profit is reflected on the balance sheet as a capital amount to balance the increase in net assets (bank balance, new player, etc etc) or a decrase in a net liabilities they have used the extra revenue to pay off (eg. amount owing to Newcastle United for Jimmy Milner) Assuming AVFC use UK GAAP to prepare their accounts, thats how it affects the balance sheet. I take it AVFC budgeted for at least the UEFA cup group stages this season, so even smaller attendences in the group stages aren't anything to worry about because I guarentee there will be higher attendences in UEFA from now on and Randy's accountants would have that well figured out!! Its all good!!

General, I don't know how the rest of these guys' AVTV didn't work, but I hooked my laptop up to my TV and watched the second half complete with superb commentary and excellent picture, well done AV. May I ask will this be a regular thing because I asked you about the possibility of Live streaming of games a few months ago for us Villans abroad but I didn't get an answer. Also, do you watch the Fox soccer channel in the states, have to say its a little cheesy but it kept me in tune with all things Villa in my 18 months I spent in Boston... what a godsend!! hes the reason I support the Villa, I first watched a football match at the age of 5 during Italia 90, seen McGrath playing for Villa shortly after and never looked back since!!

General, This is my first post on this thread, although I am a frequent reader of your comments. I would just like to say that this is a great link between the club and the fans and it is much appreciated. Keep up the good work! As my location suggests, I live in Ireland. We have a great group of supporters who meet up to watch the matches and discuss Villa related issues. We all try to get over to Villa Park as many times as possible each season. As a ‘foreign’ Villa fan, I’m sure you can respect that I can’t make it to VP every week. Therefore the internet is my main access to all things Villa. I am aware that the club are working hard to improve the website and AVTV. It has improved greatly over the past year. However, I would like to make a suggestion; maybe you could pass them on to the relevant department. Is there any chance of streaming the matches live on AVTV? I wouldn’t mind paying for such a service! Also can you tell me of any new features coming to AVTV/ AVFC website?? Many thanks, Mac
