I've never seen a Rangers themed bar outside of the pockets of bigotry that are Glasgow and Northern Ireland.

The Gallant Pioneer in Blackpool says hello.

Fill up three 500 mL bottles of water with a little salt and freeze them. Put your fan behind them on a chair pointing at you in bed and he acts like a mini air-conditioning unit. Works a treat.

Oh wise guru, what other teachings do you have, fake air conditioning and BBQ grill cleaning in grass.

No clue what you are on about, maybe it’s a midlands thing, we have need for retirement homes ooop north, we die early from hard work, ciggies, beer and excess dietary fat :D

Edit: Wring Sid, this Sid only has a normal number of sheds

Down pit from age 12, and 40 Woodbines a day, bread and beef dripping, the good old days.

And my shed has garden equipment in it.

Though I'm not having to consider air con because our living room in is the basement of a house with walls that must be 2 foot thick. Even in the height of yesterdays heat, our living room was cool. Our little courtyard (which is also at basement level) was roasting but just step inside and bingo, really quite cool.

I have heard that McCarthy and Stone retirement homes are like that.

I think bog roll is a bit of an outlier for a headline.

I've never found any bog roll in Europe that you could say was the equivalent of ******, the rolls are always smaller and less tightly wound onto the roll

Removed swear word, but exactly this, how many sheets, sheet size, basis weight, for example.  Yes I am that Nerd.

  6. So simple question.  I have 2 pension pots, one still active and receiving a monthly employee and employer payment, the other is dormant and I don’t want to transfer across.  Main reason being that I am 55 shortly and want to use 25% of that fund tax free.

If I do does that mean that I am limited to what can be paid into the other pot?

Slight tangent, but how many players have you just seen out and about?   I saw Danny Ings on Carrs Lane in town about a week before we sold him and would sometimes seen Dougie in town too, I think he lived in The Mailbox (possibly with Wesley?) when he first signed for Villa.  Going back a bit further I've seen a fair few players were I work (Moor Street/Snow Hill) off the top of my head I can recall Alan Hutton, Carlos Cuellar, Ugo, Steve Stone, Andy Townsend (after he'd retired)  Dion Dublin, Alec McLeish (a bloody nice guy, I can see why he got the job if he interviews as well as he does chit chat with passing fans) Jlloyd Samuel, Jores Okore and David Platt when he was assistant manger at Manchester City.  Said hello to all of them but never really much more than that.

Following your tangent, I remember getting my wife to execute a perfect U turn in our hired Opel Corsa in Majorca in 1997, after I spotted Mark Bosnich walking on the other side.  Chatted for about 10 minutes, lovely bloke, guessing he must have been worried by the arrival of a mad man in the passenger seat shouting his name but fortunately my 10 month old daughter had her Villa kit on, and she loved waving to him.

Typical H2H. I'm 2nd highest scorer so far this week and come up against the 3rd highest. Squeaking past Philip Coombe so far 88 to 84 :)

Now you've got me interested to see who you still have to play, I would take taking BOF down for a week as this years achievement in FPL.

Nah, just looked you have it in the bag.

Last season I walked back to New Street after every single game. Less than an hour, typical 40-45 minutes with a brisk walk, but probably an hour if you're a bimbler.

I reckoned the quickest way was across the park up towards where the Ruskin used to be, then down the side of the Ruskin  - past the little row of shops and a chippie, and basically keep going in a straight line, you have to swerve right through some houses a bit, but it bends back round - then take a left and then a right past the post office depot, across the dual carriage way, straight on, at the end turn right then left and keep going on till you get to the old steam pump thingy, under the underpass, up a ramp and then you're on the edge of town and walk down past the courts and keep going to New Street (that's from memory). I reckon I could do it in my sleep.

Pete you should have asked, you could get door to door service, me and one of the son/daughter go every game, saves you walking.

They do need a big reset - the only issue is that their financial worries would make relegation a much bigger worry than it was for us.

My brother is an Everton fan, who at the start of the season suggested that they will have the best stadium in League 1, looks like he might be right.

In fairness, there are only six available tomorrow, and those have probably been returned this afternoon.

My current season tickets are up for sale for tomorrow as the M6 is closed in Lancashire and I can’t get there without a significant diversion.
