I think it's important in demonstrating that it's a right old **** mess, mainly labour failing to get the message across to the working class in the north east that they in theory should be miles better off staying in

I don't buy the failure to 'get the message across' theory. Perhaps the message was heard loud and clear but disagreed with. For example, I could calmly tell you of my opinion on a certain subject and you could carefully listen and consider my opinion deeply. You would still be entitled to disagree with me even though I had definitely got my message across to you.

  2. I really think the television coverage is wrong to keep focus on political party lines. I really don't see the link. I am happy with my choice of voting in this referendum which doesn't necessarily match the recommendation of the political party I tend to vote for. I don't see that as a slight against the political leaders I align mostly with.

In summary, the way people are voting in this referendum has little or nothing to do with following or rejecting party politics.

  3. Very busy at my polling station at 7:40 this evening. I've certainly never had a 10 minute queue at general elections.

On the upside, it was a peaceful 10 minute wait whilst all those in the snaking queue were polite enough to discuss anything but the referendum.

  4. Cameron stated he would back leave if certain demands weren't met. Those demands were widely seen as only partially met or rather paltry, especially as we know the main issue for many is his failure to get anywhere near his aim of only double digit thousands in net migration to the UK. Having previously stated that he was ready to leave, apparently it will be catastrophic. Something doesn't add up.

I am voting in after work, it is is going to be carnage if we leave

The vast majority of those I've spoken to accept that their 'leave' vote could cause short to medium term 'carnage' but is a price worth paying to avoid medium to long term 'carnage'.

I think in will win, purely because I think those still on the fence will decide it's easier to keep things the same.

I suspect the same - 56% remain is my guess.

Despite the current polls, the result will be a shock to many of my family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. They all keep saying they only know one or two 'remainers'. The polls and bookies indicate there are more remainers, but certainly not in my circles.

I worry about a post remain surge towards UKIP and that unfortunately Farage is on a 'win - win' whatever the result.

Neither has Wyness, but he has the board tag.

Perhaps Wyness has been given 'the benefit of the doubt' as, from the look of him, it may be a while before he is declared 'fit'.

  9. It may depend on what contract offers Traore receives from other clubs and/or his determination to be (not necessarily playing) at a 'top flight' club. When Adama came to Villa, his contract benefited from being an unproven Barcelona player. Now he's a recently relegated unproven squad player from one of the worst teams in Premier League history. Unless there's a manager out there that wants to take a large punt just based on pace, Adama's Villa pay might not be matched. I wish him luck, hopefully at Villa.

In fact some con artists use the old indicator trick to lure people out of side roads and then smash straight into them.  Chaching!

The increased use of dash cameras has created a new con for the crash for cash criminals. They are moving away from unexpectedly braking hard to cause a rear end shunt to indicating and slowing to turn in to a side road before suddenly accelerating and continuing on the main road. A forward facing dash camera can be used to help prove that the rear end collision was 'engineered' by the car in front but is much less likely to show a vehicle from the side creating the deception leading to a side impact.

Well I hope if there is to be a big clear out of players then all the staff at Bodymore Heath and Villa Park have a big whip round for them. Probably not though because I met a man on the bus the other week who said they were all a bunch of selfish knut festers.

I wouldn't ever claim to be a 'man on the bus' but I do know we train at Bodymoor Heath. ;)

‘Roberto has already made a phone call to every single player,’ he says. ‘Every player that he wants to keep is happy to stay. The decisions on who goes are up to Roberto.’

    That is very positive news.

I hope so, although players tend to leave the dirty work to their agents so it doesn't surprise me that when they had a call from their new manager, they were all 'yes Boss'. It doesn't mean RDM won't have a call or three from those same players agents in the forthcoming weeks - 'he needs to further his career elsewhere'.

No smart arse. As in I think hed have better options. If he leaves I reckon he will go back to france

In fairness, Bournemouth would be able to offer more money than all but one team in France and I really can't see Veretout getting an offer from PSG just yet.

I imagine it will depend whether the website crashed again.

I thought the website crashed for less than two hours, yet the extension is two days.

In regard to the desire to include as many voters as possible, why wasn't the original deadline set to the latest possible date to administer the registration of voters? It clearly wasn't as they were able to extend it.

  15. Betting odds are still significantly in favour of remaining in the EU and yet of around 50 relatives, friends and work colleagues I have discussed it with in the last couple of months, only one has said they were considering a remain vote. That's either a statistical freak or voting intentions are strongly linked to geographical area and/or ethnicity and/or social standing that I don't encounter.

I wonder why the betting odds are so skewed towards remain, despite evenly split opinion polls. Are they assuming the majority of the current 'don't know' people will vote in large numbers for the status quo?

That's some serious cash, don't even think Lerner had that. Be fantastic if so.

Lerner had around that kind of money before his divorce. In effect his disposable income went from the tens of millions to millions, i.e. not enough to continue investment in a large football club.
