football on ITV always looks total gash.

The pitch is blocky and the players dead blurred. It's disgusting.

I've noticed it for a couple of years. Not just in my house. It's worse if you watch on a massive LCD telly in a titchy room.

The Villa Palace cup tie last season was an optical nightmare for me I had square eyes for a few days after.

In my opinion it's worse than the first internet streams that appeared a few years ago NTV turkey etc.

I've done a bit of research but not found anything concrete. just people asking the same question as me. People blaming the bit rate that it's broadcast in, the freeveiw box saying if you plug it directly to the ariel on teh roof it will appear better. I can't be arsed to mess about with that I'll just watch on bbc.

Definitely poorer quality. I've always thought it was something to do with the cameras they shot it on, hence why the FA cup games were particularly bad but I'm probably wrong. I only ever watch ITV HD now, if I have to watch it at all.

Well apart from the football team, I'm not sure I can agree. We recorded a series win over Australia, won the first of the ODIs against Bangladesh then narrowly lost the next. Obviously losing to Bangladesh is pretty poor, but in the long run isn't a major issue. I'm struggling to think of any other sports were England (or the English) have under performed?

i genuinely disagree with this, i think we have just as much chance as you do of breaking the CL in the next five years.

I know this is a matter of opinion, but seriously?! We don't have anything like the same chance, we need to face up to the fact that Citeh are now a much more attractive prospect than villa for players and not just for the money. With the resources they have I'd be amazed if they don't qualify for the CL next year.

Am going to vote in a bit, although it's been a staunch Labour seat for years now. The labour candidate took over 50% of the vote last time, so obviously more than the Tories and the Lib Dems put together. Still, if I'll be voting Lib Dem in the hope that the majority goes down and next election more people will regard them as a more viable option.
