I've worked here for 9 months and one of the managers just came into my office to ask for a report, the phone rang as he was in here and I just answered it with my previous company name - THAT is how much I am still in holiday mode. Oh god please can the weekend hurry up...
And yes, yes I am blonde. (Before Nayson reminds me...)
Would it help to let you know that I'm still in bed relaxing whilst watching the transfer news on SSN. It's a hard life

I'm the opposite, I only had 3 days off from work for christmas, now I've got 3 weeks off and it feels great!

Very nice lady Dom And you look like a footballer but I can't put my finger on who at the mo'. I'll be back.
Milner?
I'd go for Dean Windass personally, obviously a non-lardy version :winkold:

I couldnt believe he was English
"If the man comin', make ready for the man"
Dominic West's accent, however is slightly less convincing :?

Band of Brothers is simply better than anything else ever on TV. Class in every sense of the word.
I agree.
What I couldn't believe was that Damian Lewis was actually English yet I never detected any flaws in his American accent at all.
If you're impressed with that, check out Idris Elba's accent in The Wire, absolutely spot on
-
The Wire, didn't have to even read what it was being compared to, because for me it's the best series on TV.

I'd drop Petrov, put NRC in the centre and tell Barry to get forward more

Paddy's post just reminded me, my mum went to school with Clare Short, however I don't have similarly juicy gossip about her

A couple of rubbish claims to fame:
My friend is second cousin to Michael Barrymore (his father's cousin)- this same friend also knows KT Tunstall well and gets backstage to a lot of her gigs.
My friends at school played with Stefan Moore in the Sutton Coldfield district team.

and im sorry zippy, but the libertines are in no way overated! people just dont understand what they did for modern UK music
I understand what they did- ushered in a whole wave of terrible generic indie bands. No libertines, no scouting for girls. They have a lot to answer for, including plenty of dire 'poetry'. Doherty can stick 'Albion' up his arse
Other honourable mentions to:
Iron Maiden
RHCP
Guns & Roses
Queen
Green Day
Fall Out Boy
plus plenty of others who I can't recall at the moment.

This is going to be the only time you'll hear me say this, but we need someone to give a Baros type performance tomorrow. Although Cahill got all the credit that day, I think that was one of the few times that Baros was a constant threat and really worked hard. I have to say I see a draw coming.

Leaving aside civil liberties, there hasn't been a single good reason FOR the cards yet. If they're of no use, and I fail to see how they would prevent terrorism or most ID fraud, then what's the point?
Exactly. I really don't see how they will help. The terrorism argument is particularly laughable. I'm surprised Brown hasn't nicked the Tory policy of getting rid of them yet.

Isn't Brum already the second city?
Have a scout round t'internet and you will see Manchester marketing itself as the second city.
In fact they have a second city display in the urbis gallery discussing this, last time I checked it out the "debate" was being won by the brummies. It involved a load of post it notes on a wall
Really? Interesting, shall have to go and make my point. Bicks is right in that, Manchester is surrounded by towns (Stockport, Bolton, Bury, Oldham etc) as well as the issue being confused with the Trafford area being run by a different council. More and more these towns are being associated with Manchester. If you look at the size of Manchester without these towns, it's really very small. I mean, Salford is almost part of Manchester city centre and Stockport must be about 4 miles away from it. The truth is even though I live in Manchester, Birmingham is by far the bigger and better city.
