Also on Ancellotti, which players has he actually attracted to a club? As we seem so sure he'll be able to attract players.
Torres :winkold:
-
Ancelotti's odds are falling reasonably fast. That would be a massive coup if we can bring in a manager like that.
Presumably because people have read Kendrick's article and have started backing Ancelotti.

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Mark Hughes will quit Fulham this morning to take Villa job #ffc #avfc
MirrorFootball
Unless they have a leak from Fulham end, then I'd still trust Kendrick over the Mirror anyday... he's usually spot on.
I wouldn't be too disappointed with Hughes though as I've posted before he apparently was one of Lerner's top targets when MON left.
If he could get Warnock and Ireland playing the way they did when he was managing Blackburn and Man City, then that could only be good for the club.
Although I understand your point about Kendrick and his sources, it's worth pointing out that the Mail is owned by Trinity Mirror :winkold:
-
Sean Ingle said a few weeks ago that Steve McClaren had made it known that he wanted the job. I pray to God we don't go for him.
-
Haha love how people were suggesting his username stood for Tilton Road Stand- block T and it's just his initials. Can we stop accusing people of being SHA fans, makes the place no better than bluemoon.
-
Oh, and if you could have taken one of those players back in 1993 and had them down the Villa, which one would it have been? I'd go with Scholes.
Phil Neville, deffo :winkold:

I agree with Kurt, Black Ops is far superior to MW2. MW2 was just too full of easy exploits.
It was you using them most of the time!!

Shame, because I was going to go with:
Pelle is gutted after not reading the thread "Queen in Dublin" properly
Oi! I made that joke in the thread!

I couldnt help but notice a Sledgehammer Games logo at the bottom. Sledgehammer Games are the old Visceral studios, the people who made Dead Space & Dante's Inferno. Might they be on the single player?
They are indeed working on the single player, with Raven Software being somehow involved with the multiplayer. Makes you wonder what exactly the input Infinity Ward have on the game.

I'll admit it, I'm starting to get excited.

I wish rich people from the U.A.E would **** off..
Team Dubai, Man City and now they've **** up a Barca shirt?
After 6 seasons of wanting Barca to do well, all I can say is Hala Madrid..
[pedant]Qatar is a separate country to the UAE [/pedant]

only problem is i dont think SPurs want to be in Europa lEague going by Harry's comments a few weeks ago
Apparently Levy is keen on it and if they really didn't want to play in it you would have thought they would have thrown in the towel against Liverpool at the weekend.

If Man Utd field a weakened team next week and lose to Blackpool do you think they will get fined?
If Blues get relegated because if it, where can I chip in to pay a pints worth of it?
with united having only dropped 2 points at home theres no way theyre going to throw that game. any team fergie puts out should beat blackpool comfortably, and will
sure their reserve team murdered shalke ffs
You're right that would never happen.
-
haha brilliant. but luckily for them i can see wigan, and blackpool losing
I can see them both winning. Stoke have a load of injuries and nothing to play for and Blackpool will be playing Man Utd reserves, with their first team rested for the CL final.
-
Championship and Europe would be great. (is that allowed?)
Yep, Millwall did it a few years ago.
-
but they have to play on a thursday night in the europa league too!
That'll probably only be one Thursday though.

Bendtner is exactly the sort of player to score against us

Clearly GMac has now begun to assert his influence on the team, hence the free flowing football

What a goal!!

Do like Merse always tries to be positive about the Villa.
That's the years of alcohol and drug abuse for you.
He also thinks that Cole, Enrique and Baines are the best 3 LBs in world football so I wouldn't read too much into what he says!

Since January. And the £120 one is the players version, you ought to be able to get replica somewhere.
Indeed, even in England we can get it for £40

Young was completely free, Downing has had a complete mare today in front of Capello
Fortunately Capello has less of a one-eyed view on it than that.

I almost started a new thread on this one because I felt it was so important, however in the end I decided to post it in here so consider yourself very lucky if you are reading this:
I just went to the newsagents to buy something for lunch later. I got an egg & cress sandwich, a bottle of lemonade and a packet of salt'n'vinegar square crisps. When I came to pay for my items the bill was about £2.60, but the helpful guy behind the counter informed me that the square crisps were on special offer and two packets were available for £1.
I somewhat disinterestedly said "oh, okay" and handed over £2.60 and he reminded me again that the square crisps were on special offer and two packets were available for £1.
It was at this point where I decided to look just how much one packet of crisps was (because lets be honest, who looks at the prices when you are buying pop & crisps?) and I noticed that a single packet was 54p. So I could buy a second packet and instead of spending £1.08 I would only be spending £1! I am kicking myself for not taking him up on this offer because it is clearly amazing and I should really make a post about it on hotukdeals or somewhere.
Anyway, if you would like to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity you should head to:
Melcombe News,
Melcombe Place,
Westminster,
London,
NW1 6JJ.
(Nearest tube stations are Marylebone and Baker Street. Nearest overground is Marylebone.)
If you do take it up then you dont need to send me any money or anything, I am not on commission, you dont even need to send me any thanks. I am just glad I can help out some fellow forumites in these times of financial hardship.
Wait it's between Marylebone and Baker St and I didn't notice this place? Curses! Where am I going to get such an amazing offer on squares now
Situation vacant... who do you want as the new Villa manager

Trying to compare points per game and then including cup games is deliberately trying to distort the figures in my book, as is including games when Houllier was hospitalized. In the league we had an average of 1.23 points per game under Houllier by my reckoning.
