  1. Booooooooooooooo I'm sorry, but better to quell the madness now than us have 25 pages and then mass disappointment / embarrassment all round. For what it's worth, I think our next manager will be Sven.
  2. David Moyes will not be the next manager. Calm down people. It is UTTER rubbish. One misinterpreted handshake, one clumsy blogger and one big rush of money that the bookies have reacted to in almost an 'automatic' way. ITK in this instance, on both Everton and Villa sides, is just people looking for a little attention. Let's not be so idiotic as to ignore the fact that he wouldn't leave Everton at this stage, with the squad he has - he's said as much only a week ago - he's 'loyal' and would NOT leave them. Move on.
  3. Has to be Erikkson for me. Bags of experience, point to prove, intelligent man, got city playing great football, lots of contacts and has won things.
  4. unbelievable game - the most frantic, tense and unbearable game I've watched in a long time. James Collins was truly phenomenal. It does beg the question though - how on earth would we have coped WITHOUT Reo-Coker?!!!!!
  5. going to be a tough tough game this one - everton playing well and well managed and on the back of a 5-1 in midweek -everything's against us
  6. yeah he's just walked down the tunnel. NRC in for him?
  7. For a team that's conceded 9 goals in two games, that's an incredibly attacking line-up, especially against a very strong and physical midfield of Everton. Very strange considering KM's previous comments about naivety -you'd have thought he'd have dropped Albrighton for NRC and tighten things up, using Downing and Young on the wings with Ireland supporting Carew. Saying that, I'll not damn him - I've had worries about team selections before and been proved wrong - you never know, if we play positive football and work really hard, we'll certainly create going forwards. Looks like he's going for it at least - which is maybe better than just running scared. We'll see.
  8. Simply one of the best performances by an Aston Villa team I've ever seen. Everyone played great and with real confidence. Downing was quick and useful, Ash always a threat, Carew handy (but wasteful) and Albright lively too. Petrov and Milner wonderful in midfield. Great display.
  9. Yep... spot on.. It's 3-1 I know but great game.. we've tried sooooo hard! Carlos has summed it up. I know this team have their limits and haven't got a Tevez, etc but with what they have they do give it everything every game. I'm a proud fan today as I have been all season. Let's not slate them, let's not get too harsh on MON or individuals, we've lost only 2 games this year against two teams with world-class players. No shame in that at all. I love ASTON VILLA.
  10. real shame this - we just had a mad 5 mins. doh!
  11. we've dominated 2nd half and have tried SO hard. Immensely proud of their efforts both today and this season as a whole.
  12. they're sitting deep - it's difficult! as I say, arsenal struggled to break them down, as did man united until 94 odd minutes
  13. once they led, was always going to be like this. did you not watch them park the bus at the emirates and stop arsenal, one of the most creative in the league, from getting a sniff? annoying, but that's why those two goals were such a blow. never mind, we've tried hard.
  14. Keep going Villa - you never know - a point might help us to finish above City.
  15. Petrov is premiership quality, which is why he's played almost every game and captained a Premiership team battling for 4th and that got to Wembley twice this season. In my opinion.
  16. hehehe I pity the state of your life in general if that's your outlook on this match and the team you 'support'
  17. Carlos does great again. They're giving it their all here people.
  18. we're dominating this half. well done boys. well done MON.
  19. And it's ASTON VILLA AAAAAASSSSSSSSTOOON VILLA FC ..... Come on boys, keep going!
  20. unlucky - nice cross downing, ash arrives late, not quite there in time.
  21. Oh I see...... we've found a new scapegoat. Might be worth, for balance's sake, mentioning that he just defended brilliantly against Johnson.
