We're a decent side who have got some great results this season, got to Wembley twice and if we fade in relation to sides like Man City, Spurs and Liverpool, all of whom have either world-class players (Torres, Tevez) or massive quality off the bench, then it's not exactly a disastrous season. I know people are disappointed that we don't have more rotation, etc., but MON just doesn't have the quality on the bench right now that the other sides do.

Head stays Chelsea win beat us - playing well and we're not - plus injuries, etc. We're looking jaded and their home record is outstanding. They also have to win. Superb win. Thought we'd blown it with missed chances, but kept plugging away and deserved it. Milner was sensational. The problem is thus: He's an exceptionally hardworking, talented midfielder with a terrific engine, class, technique, can use both feet, works incredibly for the team, is on the up and has the ability to score goals. All of that leads to one thing: Signing for Manchester United as Paul Scholes' replacement for the next 10 years. I can see it happening.

Another OUTSTANDING piece of play. True creativity for a change! Yougn beats three, runs at pace, plays lovely ball to Carew. Should've scored - clean through, but decent save. Needed more composure - torres takes those, never smashes them but Carew lacks that class. So many chances that we've missed (ash too so close) I worry now! Makes a change to see us so creative, though.
