I really hope this "Lambo" nickname doesn't catch on!
Alternative suggestion?
-
oh dear....who now then?
the old guard? the old boys club?
up the creek without a paddle again!!!

Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our club, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.

Im nearly 100% sure he will go after the norwich game.
so, is that 99.9% recurring?
-
If they're not having a meeting until monday then we won't hear anything in the next 48 hours, unfortunately.
Of course, Lerner and Faulkner are going to the Norwich game tomorrow if rumours are to be believed, so no doubt they'll talk to Mcleish after. If he's going to be sacked (pretty please) then I'm guessing we'll hear by tuesday at the earliest.
Monday, work, horrible, drab, dont want to be there, worst day of the week.
One thing that will brighten the day is to hear on the radio or to get a text to find out the worst manager in our history has left the club.

Imavillan, are you exonerating the players for the last 37 games ?
I'm not defending him, just stating he isn't culpable alone for this abortion of a season
Oh, and for what its worth McLeish would turn a 72 goals this season player like Messi look shit.

Well in pretty much all your posts you seen to be doing a pretty good impression of defending him.
CI,
i would not blame a single player.
youre at work and you get on with your manager youll do a bit more for him....go the extra mile.
you dont like your manager. you dont get on with him. you dont agree with his decisions. you do just enough, just what you have to.
if you have not read the article on ESPN that has been posted on earlier pages

All this crap about DOL, Doncaster, the third party, Martinez, Lambert blah blah blah.......it doesn't matter one jot.
Mcleish is a SHIT manager.
4 Homes wins all season = SHIT
7 wins all season = SHIT
37 games, 37 goals = SHIT
Not even trying to win a match = SHIT
playing 7 defenders = SHIT
playing against 10 men and defending = SHIT
the only team in the prem not to score from a corner = SHIT
SHIT in = SHIT out
He deserves all the abuse he gets. I hope for all hopes that all the fans going to Norwich give him constant hell for 90 minutes....
......just like he has given it to us for 37 games this season.

Going nowhere.
The Norwich game will pass, the CL final will take place, the summer will come - there will be the Euros/Olympics, AMcL will add a few additions, the kit would have been released, and people will be eagerly awaiting the start of a new season. This nightmare will almost be a distant memory. The dust would have settled and the anger levels will have well and truly subsided.
We're football fans. It's what we do.
This nightmare will never be a distant memory....it is embellished in Aston Villas history.
The worst home record ever!!
-
The Sunderland 0-1 was as bad as anything I've seen under McLeish
And there was many more games like that under GED
In fact if you took downing and young out of GEDs season we'd probably have been just as shite
It matters diddly squat what GED did......McLiesh is the worst manager in Aston Villas illustrious history.
Under McLeish, you can count the amount of good games we have played on two fingers.
The whole season under McLeish has been shit.
The FACTS do not lie.

Here's two,
5 - 1 v SHA
When McLeish gets the sack
-
Man Citehs home record
W17 D1 L0 F52 A10
QPR's away record
W3 D2 L13 F17 A38
Citeh have conceded 10 all season, that's right just 10.
They have not lost at home all season.
The are professionals and regardless of what is or isnt they will want to win there last home game.....and will.
-
tool
whos a tool ?
CI
for thinking Citeh will switch off against QPR in the last game if Manure win tomorrow
on that basis Norwich have already switched off and we'll be ok !!
-
Hodgson goes to FA? What does that mean ? Surely not England job ??
is this really you? has somebody hacked into your account?
oh by the way how old are you?
-
tool
-
^^^^^
no it doesnt..
last game of the season Citeh playing at fortress Etihad....oh lets see i'm a millionaire footballer and i dont really want to be playing today i'd rather be in Dubai.
how ridiculous is that and would you fancy Villa there?
-
Tomorrow's game has a huge influence on everything...
If Man Yoo win, city trail by 6 points and go into the final game with nothing to play for. We lose to Spurs and QPR beat Stoke and we could be on real trouble again...
tomorrows game has nothing to do with it.
If what you are saying happens...Citeh do not all of a sudden become shit and QPR become brilliant.
If it were Villa playing Citeh in the last game would you fancy us to do what you are expecting QPR to do?
I think not.
EDIT
Latest Odds from Coral....with two games to go
Blackburn - 1/33
QPR - 8/13
Bolton -7/5
Aston Villa - 16/1
Wigan - 16/1
-
I'm completely fed up of using the word "negative" but once again, that was exactly the case today.
Wigan - went all out for a win against good opposition, got an emphatic one
Bolton - attacking performance and substitutions, scored 2 away from home
Villa - team full of defenders, set up not to lose
All credit to Martinez and Coyle, they are having a real go and if either goes down, at least they will go down fighting which is more than can be said for us. This is EXACTLY what McLeish did at Blues last year, right down to their last game against Spurs where they had to win to guarantee survival but set up defensively as always and sat back. Even in that life and death situation, McLeish lacked the guts to just go for it.
It is mind numbingly frustrating to watch. McLeish flat out refuses to take risks and prefers to just hang on and hope. We had chances today which were wasted but its no surprise when Gabby hasn't scored in Christ knows how long and is only half fit. Again, McLeish was too scared to give Weimann a chance. Bringing Carruthers on in injury time was just a gesture, and a pathetic one at that.
Our future is no more certain after today. And my heart can't take much more of this shite.
six defenders.....say no more.
but eh at the moment if it preserves our premiership status.....thats all that counts.
Then get rid of the worst manager in Aston Villas history
-
a point against the Albion does not turn him into a good manager. Its just another point towards safety in what has been a miserable season.
Come the start of next season we must have a new man in charge. Every time you watch us its a case of what might be.
-
come on Chelski, come on Spuds
two massive games tomorrow.....apples n pears, ruby murray, butchers hook, trouble n strife, dog n bone...and all that stuff

The Birmingham Mail has a photo and editorial of the one, yes that's right one, Villa fan who came forward after their appeal to find Villa fans in support of McLeish.
I don't know how he had the nerve to let his photo and name be published so widely.
He either has balls of steel or is on some strange medication!
Smacks of Andy Warhol and his famous quote ''In the future everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes''
