  1. 447 pages in this thread....the overwhelming majority are against the manager and are saying the same thing.....dull football, negative tactics etc etc

but....with Lerner and Faulkener at the helm this will go well beyond a 1000 pages.

He does not sack managers, he does not listen to fans.

You can forget the Holte Pub, the banners on the Holte and North Stand, the training ground, parading the European Cup winners, the free coaches, the flags, the scarves and anything else he has tried.

All i want is to see my team competing.

Lerners track record with managers is dire, his track record in sport is dire. He just does not understand.

I do not know how we get rid of McCleish but i know McCleish is getting rid of the fans.

  2. The next four games are vital.

    A - Wigan

    A - Blackburn

    H - Fulham

    H - Bolton

If we do not get a minimum of 7 points from this we have had it.

    The games after that are...

    A - Arsenal

    H - Chelski

    A - Liverpoo

    H - Stoke

    A - Man U

That performance against Man City was tactically one of the worst i have ever seen from a Villa team....

....and there is only one person to blame for that......thank you Mr McCleish

I congratulate you.....you do not have a clue.

  3. Lads what are the protests about exactly ??

Would you be happier with Mark Hughes who's team did so well at Blackburn today ?

Or MON who's team threw away a home lead against a mediocre arsenal ?

    Are you being serious?

That was the FIRST game MON has lost at home with Sunderland.

He has won more games in 11 games than McLeish has managed all season.

In case you have not noticed we have not won a home game in FOUR months!

I'm not in favour of the protests (wrong time) but what on earth are you on about?

That somehow McLeish is not shit because MON and Mark Hughes lost a game today??

    :?

    Very bizarre post.

Indeed, this is a bizarre post, in fact it is possibly the most ludicrous post in the history of VT.

  4. Half these moaners wont even be there. Says it all for me

and that's one of the problems that the current regime are generating..... they're driving fans away with the tepid dross that's being dished up....

just because fans wont be there doesn't mean they don't care. They are voting with their feet.

  5. Original post in error

Thing is though, we're not actually playing badly at the moment and haven't done since the Swansea game so to protest now would make anyone doing so look **** stupid.

    what post should have said

Thing is though, we're playing badly at the moment and have done since the Season started so to protest now would make anyone doing so look like they know what they're on about.

How anyone can think we are playing well at the moment is beyond me.

How many exciting games have you seen us play this season?

    .....count them on one hand.

Well I personally have been to the Wolves, QPR, and Newcastle matches lately and left very satisfied with the football I have seen played bar a few defensive lapses which have cost us. You people who want to protest now are mad. What do you think some manager is going to come in and throw some pixy dust all over players like Stephen Warnock and magically turn around all of our problems in an instant. Get a grip, all your doing is making yourselves look like idiots, and if you get any media attention on Sunday it will be hilarious because there will probably be about 10 of you and the rest of us can single you all out and have a good laugh at your expense.

    Hand = 5 didgets

Wolves, QPR, Newcastle = 3 games

Wolves, the differece was Robbie Keane. QPR home match we did not win. Newcastle lost again!!!

Get a grip, wake up and smell the coffee

Or as I've said accept rubbish.

Look at his track record......Kermit the frog could get Rangers to finish 3rd and get 2 relegations.......inspirational

  6. What an embarrassing waste of time this is going to turn out to be, I hope this doesn't happen.

Totally agreed. It'll be like Blackburn fans all over again, cringeworthy

    What's the answer then?

Put up with the utter crap we re being fed?

As fans there are really only two options.

1, vote with your feet and don't attend

2, make your feelings known by protesting

Of course, as we live in a democracy you can always accept it, him and his mediocrity and dross football.

Me personally I don't think he is the person to take this club forward. And that's not because of where he has come from but for his " proven" track record.

  8. On the contrary I think Houllier faced far more venom last season than McLeish is facing now.

really? Houllier touched the Anfield sign and said he was happy to lose to Liverpoo and was only short of masturbating on the Kop.

mcleish hasnt got near that yet

Houllier was bringing a football philosophy to VP....he was getting the player to play football.

    What is McCleish doing??

Given all of the protests before he came, he's got off lightly.

The fans have given him every chance, but as every game passes by and the performances and results get worse, the fans patience is wearing thinner and thinner.

There is only so much that even the most forgiving fans can take.

  9. The bloke never ceases to amaze me.

    Crap - tactics

    Crap - press conferences

    Crap - after match analysis

    Crap - substitutions

    Crap - team selections

    Crap - motivator

    Crap - communicator

    Crap - football

    Crap - manager

    Crap - track record

    Crap - personality

Good - its never my fault

    Good - blame individual players

    Good - yes man

    Good - ?????

    Good - bye......yes please

  10. Am I the only one who thought we played quite well then? Deserved at least a point.

You're not allowed to praise the team anymore or people on here will call you a SHA supporter.

and apart from Keane, what was there to praise from todays performance?

i didnt see anything. Watching Villa these days is hard work?

  11. Given - ok not much to do. no chance

Warnock - all over the place but not near the ball

Dunne - well and truly for the second goal

Cuellar - a few good blocks

Hutton - impersonating as a full back

Ireland - got the showers ready for the lads

Insomnia - one good cross and plenty that weren't

Petrov - in and out, out and out

Bent - starring in a new film as the lonesome stiker

Keane - come and have a look at what you could have won

    Bannan - headless chicken

Heskey - see Hutton and replace fullback for anything you like

Gardener - Clint Eastwood, a few minutes more

McCleish - Its not my fault, i've told them to express them selves and go for it. If there keeper hadn't have made those saves in the first have we could have scored. I think they only had one shot in the second half. We haven't seen the best from Charles, he owes the fans and has got to start living up to his massive price tag. It was great to see Emile back. He's a big lad and offers a lot to the team. We can learn from this and take it into the next game. I took Ireland off hat half time because he told me to eck off. We have got to trim the wages and i'm the man to do it. It will be a lot better next season when i get rid of the dross and bring my own in. Honest. I promise.

  12. can no one on this site look past the manager and see how poor we are at the back

the amount of people ive seen moaning warnock should be dropped and then u moan when clark gets put in. jokers.

    McLeishes fan is back!

This team can play, given some tactics, confidence and a positive outlook. We havent seen that all season.

    Get rid of this muppet.

McLeishit is a clown and he has proved himself to that effect.

Sending letters out to season ticket holders saying he is happy the way things are going!!!

The players are good enough. The tactics are all wrong and for that.....look at the manager.

Me and many thousands will not be happy until he has left this club.....it cant come soon enough.

  13. like thats gonna help.

seriously we need to concentrate on supporting the team whoever the manager, owners are etc because the support at villa park at the moment is shocking no atmosphere whatsoever.

Yeah but you're not going to change that. Rightly or wrongly that is the natural reaction to the team playing as badly as it is - no amount of reasoning with people on here will do the blindest bit to stop the boos or change the atmosphere at the game.

Banners might just make the players realise that the shower of shite they are serving up has gotten to the point where the fans are in revolt. That may spark a reaction from them it may not, but it's more chance than the apathetic mood currently going on.

Like I say, it's not that what you're saying is wrong, just that it's pointless believing it will happen.

I Say bring back the ''we're not fickle we just don't like you'' banner

    I worked last time!!

  14. General,

how will the club be able to put a stop to our best players wanting to leave to play CL football???

As soon as a club like Villa get to a position where they are threatening the ''establishment'' with a fine squad of youngsters that have a chance of progressing and once they have progressed they will come knocking on the door and take them away. In doing so break up the nucleus of the team and we have to start all over again. And in reality making us a feeder club.

Also, as you are now working full time for a colleage/university and can only come onto the site and reply once a week, what is your source of information from the club???

How often are you in contact with the club and the inner echaleons???

You are indeed an an executive director....what does that actually mean???

    what influence do you have???

Where and how often do you get your information from???

Are you on every board meeting that takes place???

Over your last few postings in responses to questions there has been a conflict of interest from what you are saying versus what the manager and the board is saying....please explain....

    lots of questions.....answers????

  15. General,

how will the club be able to put a stop to our best players wanting to leave to play CL football?

You see the Sky 4 plus Man City have it all wrapped up between them.

As soon as a club like Villa get to a position where they are threatening them with a fine squad of youngsters that have a chance of progressing and once they have progressed they will come knocking on the door and take them away.

In doing so break up the nucleus of the team and bingo! you have to start all over again.

So in esscence we will always be trying to be the best of the rest.

Please tell me and all of the other Villans out there how you and the board think you can ever stop this happening.

    Thanks
