Holy Mary mother of Jaysus why has it taken me so long to watch Battlestar Galatica...

    Battlestar-Galactica-battlestar-galactic

Without question the best tv show ever made. Not even a contest in my opinion. Watched it through 3 times so far.

On that recommendation I shall start to watch it on netflix

Didn't realise there was an American remake of The Killing.  Anybody have an inkling over which version is better?

The american version is woeful, stay well away.

I disagree. I think its pretty good.

I agree and season 3 is better than 2.....

  3. Benteke hasn't actually stated he's unhappy at Villa, let's not forget that. He just simply would like to move to a club in a better position then we are currently and who's in London.

    And he said this when?

  4. He would need a legitimate grievance to go on strike and get the support of a union. He can't just say 'I don't want to be here anymore'. That's not how it works!

He can though. Under EU law you have freedom of movement and labour throughout the EU. In reality If he wants to go nobody can stop him. Villa are better off playing nice and giving him a clear idea of the price Villa feel he's worth. If we get that he'll be sold, if not he can stay for one more season and the price tag will be less next summer as he'll only have two years left on his deal.

If we get anything above £20m for him it will be good business but we'll never know the fee as it'll be undisclosed.

The price tag won't be less next season because he will have one year less left on his deal.

If he improves and has a decent world cup then his price will rise. It has nothing to do with his contract length, he's not in his 30's for christ sake!

If and if and if. What if he doesn't have a good season next year? What if he breaks his leg? It's not like we're doubling our money we're tripling it and more. But the fact is he doesn't want to be here. So why cut our nose off? For a moral victory? How is that good business?

If Lerner allows Benteke to leave after just one year into a four year contract then it proves that he has not learnt anything about being a successful owner in the Premier League. After 3 seasons of relegation shit it looked slightly promising but to sell Benteke now would just show that Villa have no ambition and I am glad that after 7 years I have decided not to waste any more money on this club with 2 season tickets costing over £1000. I will put my money to better use in future.

What if the player goes on strike as he has done before. Should Lerner still ignore his £25m+ transfer value?

What if the player goes on strike? Let him go on strike for 3 years with no pay and see how that works!

So not only do we lose Benteke by him not playing we also lose the £25m he is worth. Tell me about some more ideas you have?

One of my other ideas is not to have any tolerance of people who just cave in and think every shit thing that happens is inevitable. Does this sound like someone you know?

Well I don't think having £25m for a player with only one good season is shit. I do however think that not having the player and not having £25m is shit, which is what you want, so this someone is you? Yeah?

One of the things about Lambert is the atmosphere he generates in the team and the loyalty he gets from the players into him and the club. That is one thing that may persuade the young hungry bunch to hang around a bit longer than 36 weeks.

That is what is so disappointing about benteke for me.

Not the model we are operating,  that is proving successful.  But that Benteke and his agent are operating outside our model and haven't actually bought into it in the way that others no doubt will and have

I believe this was on the cards from the time he walked through our door.....its sometimes the little things that tell you the big things.

not sure he was ever seen in the major footballer shops in brum like Harvey Nicks

How would you know this though? Also given that he pretty much lives above Harvey Nicks I suspect its likely he's been there, though not sure what this has to do with someone handing in a transfer request.

Disappointed with him but also fair play to him, if he can get 100k a week then he must take advantage of it. He may not have as good a season next year and a footballer is only one game away from a broken leg.

I just hope wherever he goes its a CL side and not Spurs.

  9. First ten minutes & last ten minutes was enjoyable, did they say why the Ferrari didn't go round the track? SIARPC was good. The free running with Dougie Lampkin whilst quite random was enjoyable but the other half of the show was awful.
