  1. He's just very over eager that's all, he definitely has technique but the eagerness and nervousness he is showing is halting him settle and progress.

Yet even as shit as he's been, which I think he has been labelled so due to some wild shooting, he has still managed to create a number of goal scoring chances for us and arguably been unlucky not to score through good saves.

He needs a run in the team which includes not getting hauled off just as he was starting to do ok like against Sheffield. No way should Weimann stayed on that pitch over him, Tonev was easily one of our better players, unfortunately my argument isn't aided by how shit everyone else was.

    I have faith.

Could it be that this debt has to be cleared first before any great amount is spent on the team itself?

Regardless of how you swing it, somebody, presumably Randy Lerner as I can't imagine it have being kept so quiet otherwise, just pumped £90m into the football club.

Usually to the left but at times I tuck it to the right, depends how I'm feeling, I'm carefree like that.

  3.

Richard, I appreciate you are privy to info that the majority of us are not.  However, you can't blame fans for thinking that given our recent history.  Even you were dissapointed on how the manager has been backed thus far.

And still am chap.  Not sure even a meltdown signing will change that

Still it cant be that I cannot be slightly excited now at the potential  ( before I inflame any feelings of those concerned at any semblence of informed knowledge) signing of better players

    Ignore them Richard, soldier on.

  4.

Problem is who we play in 3 of our next 4 games, will he make much of an impact if he starts?

We don't know, but if I were a defender I'd relish the prospect of marking Weimann at the moment, whereas I wouldn't know a great deal about Helenius.

Give him a go, I say.

I agree but if he does little he'll be labelled a flop.

  5.

Bringing Bowery on previously instead of Helenius is a prime example of Lamberts inadiquacies.

Given what I have seen from NH thus far, granted not a lot, I does seem stange that bowery has been preferred.

Bowery has always been brought on to hold the ball up and be a presence. Which has more than Helenius as he is more built up than him. But in terms of ability and potential than Helenius seems streets ahead.

Then why has he stuck him on the wing several times as a sub?

Re Helenius, the lad is one of those players who just doesn't get stuck in during training or runs around at full tilt. Bags of ability though.

  6. Why do people like to pretend to be ITK so much? Is it a cool thing? Is it a pat on the back thing? Is it in the hope of being liked or talked about?

When I know something about the Villa I keep it to myself and maybe some friends.

Imagine that whatever you knew and decided to share among a large number of strangers somehow scuppered a deal or maybe increased its value because other clubs got wind and showed interest. It just makes no sense.

    So who we linked with?

If Lambert was given 10 million in this window he would buy 5+ not 2 or even 1 top quality experienced quality player/s. This sums him up!

He would buy what he needed

Which, unfortunately, isn't always what Villa need.

  8. The football we currently play is not sustainable. You cant keep hoping the other team makes a mistake or that you score with one or two of your three shots on target.

Nor is it sustainable in a bums on seats way either. No one wants to see 90 minutes of defending.

New players coming in may help our cause but they certainly aren't going to improve Lamberts tactical brain - "Right I'm pulling Libor off, no sit back down Nicklas, Jordan you're on the wing son. Aye, we go again, yanoe."

So? Is he also being told to play awful football? I think its seems a bit dim to want him to stay given how bad the football is. Its fine to keep mentioning being in 11th but I'll print this page out and eat it if we stay there or higher. We are currently limping to 44 points but after the next four games I bet that will be closer to 38. Given the money spent and the time had I don't see why just staying up is such an achievement nor is anything below 45 points.

OK well all I'd say is be careful what you wish for.  A new manager might improve things but given the seemingly prohibitive restrictions he is working under, he might easily make things worse aswell (positionally).  As we're comfortable at the moment with a transfer window coming up, I think it'd be madness to change.  I just think people are slightly underestimating the task at hand.  The worry for me is more to do with the fact that if we don't progress as expected, then eventually the manager (and I mean any manager) will be unable to continue performing miracles with a squad being paid relative buttons in a league where everyone else is paying more.

    We aren't comfortable

Not everyone else is paying more

Finishing between 40 - 55 points is all very so what, that in mind I just want to watch good football and maybe just maybe win a cup or at least have a run at one. Its about enjoyment there is nothing enjoyable about watching your team struggle to break down a poor league one side with almost your first team. Nothing enjoyable about a hoof styled football, nothing enjoyable about spending most of the time in your own half hoping for a gift from the opposition.

Scoring once in the first half at home is not ok at any level of spend.

Still confused as to why cutting a stupidly high wage bill of very average players is so commendable.

The point is that the manager is being told to do it.  So it seems a bit dim to want him gone for doing what his employer has asked of him, especially since he has fairly remarkably maintained our league position in the process.

Which other PL manager has the same conditions. Fair enough no spending allowed, but if your remit is coming into a PL club on its ass and then told to cut it further is laughable.

I'd agree if it was full of good players but it wasnt. The reason it was on its ass is because of how many average players we had on such high wages and we were also being managed by the most hated and negative manager we've had in ages.
