The meeting on this didn't happen.

There were some preliminary discussions on season tickets at an earlier meeting but it was agreed that there wasn't time to get though those and that a specific meeting for them would be better, the club arranged that meeting but it was then canceled by the club and wasn't rescheduled.

Ok - my mistake.  Sorry @Davkaus

Yeah, they are simply lying aren't they.

Similar to when they said that they have also consulted with FAB on the changes to the new new badge.

Not sure you can say that - there was an informal FAB meeting a week or so ago - perhaps it was discussed there?

Only for match days. The line would need to run to somewhere further out to be viable / practicable, which should open up park and ride solutions.

Yes - Villa Park should be a stop on a line - I was agreeing though that trams offer a really nice, neat solution to providing additional capacity.

Would you be able to ask:

    - If the Warehouse will be open by the start of 24/25 - and if not when the completion is expected

    - Will the club share details of the work over the next two years that was referenced in the recent interview with Gabi?

-What is the longer term ambition for Aston (re the Mater Plan that is being developed with BCC and the West Midlands Combined Authority) - when will details be made public?

    - Is the North Stand redevelopment going to happen or not?  If not, what is the plan for extending capacity at Villa Park, sorting the beyond design life North Stand and improving the Doug Ellis?

    - What is our current position on PSR losses?  How close to the £105m over 3 years are we? (Hard to work out from accounts - so a view from the club would be helpful)?

    Sorry - one more thing....

Can you ask about the Atairos investment?  Clearly they have a presence on the Club's board - so it would be very helpful to have more information on the expertise they're bringing - and the sort of capital and infrastructure developments they have been brought on board to deliver.  Is it linked to financing and delivering the Aston Master Plan that is referenced in the future vision of Villa Park page on the website?

I might have missed this, but where are these new extra seats going in the stadium bowl that is mentioned on the season ticket announcement today

We don't know yet.   None of the details of the reconfigured Villa Park have been released - I am hoping they'll update the website with the detail soon.

What do you search for to get to there?

I've tried "Witton Lane" as the address but got nothing Villa-y.

I've tried "Aston Villa" in keywords and got an application for a new sign on the Leisure Centre from 1979 as the number one hit!

And I've tried "Aston Villa" as applicant name and it seems to have killed the site.

I always search on the postcode B6 6HE

Link doesn't work for me :(

I have a feeling you have to link to the list of documents and that you can't loink to an individual document itself.

Ok - sorry - it is in the Design and Access Statement part 2 in the planning application for the Warehouse (pg 17).  Sorry for the epic fail on linking....

Really? I didn't see that, there were a couple of lions on the renders, but on this side of the building they're going to put the windows back into the spaces where the photographs on the wall are now - hopefully they'll reopen that big entranceway too.

Yes - it was mentioned in the Design & Access Statement: http://eplanning.idox.birmingham.gov.uk/publisher/docs/B8C53785D6858703BBCF1500E314F6CF/Document-B8C53785D6858703BBCF1500E314F6CF.pdf

Yep, looking at them now they're a bit more complete I think it's pretty clear they're temporary.

    My bad!

I'm pretty sure part of the Warehouse planning application was for temporary displays like this.

I'm not too sure to be honest, all he said was "we are going to put LED everywhere but the Holte End". If I were to guess he's probably referring to redoing the lighting within the stands?

I am thinking advertising - so around the top of the stands on the roof line, in the Trinity where we currently have the static Castore and BK8 adverts and probably on the hospitality in the corners.  And over entrances to the pitch.  Look at Turf Moor as an example.

  12. I don't know.  Perhaps they also wanted to look at doing the Doug Ellis Stand as part of the same programme of work/before the North.  I am hoping all will become clear as part of the 150 anniversary celebrations.

Re housing development. I hope they have done their research, B6 has to be in the lowest 20 percentile of property prices. Unless they want to do social housing but I can't see hard nosed businessman bothering with that. On the flip side, an increase of population within the area would help to justify any works on Aston or Witton station, as the business case for either at the moment just for matchday is flimsy at best.

It just seems yet another change in direction, I am not sure what they really want to do with Villa Park.

I suspect this isn't a change in direction.  All of the references to the North Stand and Trinity work refer to it being phase one and to "developing a winder masterplan for Aston in collaboration with Birmingham City Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority" https://www.avfc.co.uk/villa-park/future

I expect that housing and commercial development was always part of the master plan....

It makes sense.  The 'big 6' have massive revenues, the cap is so high that they hit the European cap first but can still spend £300-400m or so a season.

The small revenue clubs not in Europe can now massively outspend Villa up to £300-400m per season.

Villa hit the European cap first rather than the PL cap, so we can only spend £150-200m per season.

Basically it kills Villa and any other non big 6 club that qualifies for Europe.

This is literally the worst option of all spending proposals for Villa.  Almost like it was specifically designed to kill Villa and Newcastle.

    This is what I thought....

There's an informal meeting tomorrow - it's not clear at the moment if that's with a focus on season ticket prices, but I'm sure they'll be discussed.

Did the meeting talk about season ticket prices at all?

I think a lot of it will be in re-profiling existing hospitality areas - so ripping out all of the Doug Ellis boxes (and the lounge behind) and replacing it with one big lounge with seating across the front - that kind of thing potentially doubles your capacity in there without impinging on the bowl itself.

Also I'm assuming this wouldn't require planning permission - so can be done quite quickly?

    New sleeve sponsor next season.

Wow.  That is exciting.  Doubling plus all existing sponsorship deals - and more sponsors to come by the sound of it.  Fair play.

Reported as £40m over two years - which I suspect is more than we currently get for all three of our kit properties - the manufacturer, the main sponsor and the sleeve - combined.

    It's a step up.

It really is - and I think I expect 3 more deals - sleeve; training kit and kit supplier.  And likely big numbers associated with those too.

The new round badge isn't great. I can absolutely see why you'd want to quickly move on from it, it's too similar to too many other badges and it disappears in the crowd of other crests due to how generic it is. It's like the AI generated image of modern clean football club badge with a heraldic lion in claret and blue.

The Lerner revamp we're getting makes it look like the best football club badge ever designed. The Lerner badge is bad and always was no matter how much they tinker it to try to rescue it, and now we're getting something that is actually worse somehow.

    It's **** terrible.

I like the new badge.  This is all a matter of opinion.
