I'm not saying he doesn't have lots of ability but I was thinking he'd be another heskey rather than a lukaku if you get my drift
Heskey actually had a decent goal scoring record early on in his career.
At Liverpool he was a decent goalscorer.

I would really question the hierarchy if we loaned him up there when *should they stay up* they’ll be direct rivals with us.
What makes you think we can compete with them?
Only City can.
Filthy rich oil club and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
-
So when is Mason Mount signing then
-
I do wonder if Rooney would do as well if they were without these unfortunate circumstances.
It's a cliche but it's easier to perform when there are no expectations and you've got a point to prove.
-
So our record transfer fee was roughly 33M for Buendia?
Newcastle already blown that out of the water.
Already making 50 M purchases, Jesus Christ.
And people think we will be able to compete with these guys? I think not. Will be up there with Man City in a few years time.
I'm past the denial phase and have entered acceptance.

prob even less than that?
How many minutes is completely irrelevant for me.
How many starts is the important question.
Reckon i could count his amount of league starts the last 3 season's with 5 fingers.
How is a striker supposed to build up momentum and confidence when he is never getting a run of games?

He's playing football games not getting 8 minutes of football every month and getting slated for not scoring.
If you can't see Davis has bags of ability you're wilfully ignorant.
Exactly this.
Never been given a run of games at Villa. He just have not.
Playing Samatta over him I thought was a disgrace at the time.
Shouldn't act surprised to see him starting to score goals when he is starting to get regular football.
-
Grabban injured apparently.
They need a new striker now before the window closes.
Can't depend on Davis to stay fit.
-
I would rather watch him run down his contract than selling to Newcastle
-
No PL club should be doing any business with Newcastle unless there is a release clause in which case you don't really have a choice.

on the bench today versus Cardiff.
And that's why they are losing!

Agreed the standard of the bottom 5 (including Leeds in that) is truly pathetic. Any side that can get to the end of January and have 2 wins all season should be dead and buried.
it still could go either way for them though a couple of quick wins in the next few they will be ok lose them and head into the horrid run of fixtures they have in a few weeks and it could unravel fairly quickly. Plus Burnley have 3 games in hand over them and they play Watford at home next
Well we don't really know what the table actually looks like once teams start playing their games in hand.

to be fair, many didn't....I had my doubts, too.
I just don't know enough about his overall game for 90 minutes.
He is more of a number 8 from what I've been reading.
Should be all over Bissouma in the summer imo

Also.
Always have to come with the standard line that comes from fans whenever they don't get a target.
"NEVER WANTED HIM ANYWAY!"
-
I'm not sad about this.
We are desperate for a destroyer to compete with Nakamba when fit.
Bentacur is not that player.
-
Will they do their usual celebration team photo if they win a friendly game?
-
Would be happy for Spurs to get him.
We can get better.
-
It would be so funny if they got relegated
-
One of our better players.
You all know I really rate Matty Cash. Would be devastated if he went.

A very good addition. What shocks me is how shocked the rest of England/Britain seem to be at the level of ambition we are showing. Let’s have it straight, we are the biggest club in the midlands. Not taking anything away from Leicester and what they did. This is what Villa have always been capable of when run right from top to bottom.
Only reason we can show ambition is because of the owners.
We are not self sustained like those mega clubs.
We won the lottery ticket. It's time to be grateful not be boasting.

Difference is after 500 million they will keep spending another 500 million and another 500 million until they get to where they want.
I'm f***ing pissed about it but it is what it is. Newcastle will become a force, sadly.
