He is not on a free. Has atleast two more years on his contract with Lyon.

Last I heard his 4 year contract ran out this year.

Where can you watch the highlights of NFL, and when does the new season start?

You could always watch the NFL access shows on Sky Sports. Just up to date news and stuff, some highlights, interviews etc... nfl.coms video section has a great load of vids from seasons past which you can watch. Gameday highlights, play highlights etc...

The new season starts September 9th.

I'm waiting for MON to call a press conference. He'll sit down on his lonesome in front of the press looking all troubled, and he'll thank everyone for coming. He'll then mention that Milner has not yet signed a new contract and that discussions are still ongoing. He'll be bombarded with questions that he can't answer and he'll begin to panic.

At this point a man in the press steps forward. He has a long ponytail and a bushy beard and he's wearing sunglasses. He steps forward again so he is in front of the table. Suddenly, he pulls his beard, whips off his glasses and removes his coat. IT WAS JAMES MILNER IN DISGUISE! He laughs, MON laughs, they hug, and then he signs a new contract there and then. Marcus Berg would be ace. We were linked with him a few seasons ago I think.

I'd love to see us take a look at Vanden Borre. He has a lot of potential, and he does have some Premiership experience. Can cover RB/RW/DM/CM so he's quite versatile. Only 22 too.

I'd like us to look at Slovakias Marek Hamšík. Young, plenty of experience for his age, captain of his country and an amazing talent.

Manchester City are set to return to Aston Villa with an offer in the region of £24m for James Milner and at the same time make it clear that they have no intention of meeting the Midlands club's asking price for the England international, which is closer to the £30m mark.

City, who had a £20m bid for Milner rejected in May, remain determined to sign the former Leeds United trainee but are prepared to turn their attention elsewhere if Villa stick to their higher valuation.

Milner held talks with Villa about his future before heading to the World Cup and is not due to return to the club until 25 July, after being given an extended break following his return from South Africa.

Villa are keen for the 24-year-old to extend his stay at the club but they have yet to make a new contract offer to improve his existing £45,000-per-week deal. City would be in a position to offer double that sum

Or more to the point, if someone offered you £100k per week why would you turn it down to sign for £80k per week?

because £80k a week doesnt exactly make you poor, these arent guys on the breadline trying to ensure futures for their kids

if you were talking those figures a year i can understand it, but when players are making huge sideways steps or even backwards steps to city i find it hard to put it down to anything other than greed

It's very well sniffing at it, but it's their living. They are going to try and do as well out of it as possible.

It depends on the variables. Does the place offering 80k a week have it's positives? i.e. Travelling time, location and area, reputation etc...

For example, living in Dudley, if West Bromwich Albion offered me 80k a week to play for them, and I had Stoke City offering 100k a week to play for them, i'd accept the WBa offer.

I'm starting to change the way I feel about it.

It's just getting frustrating and disheartening with the insane amount of cash being thrown about, the inconsistent refereeing / FA investigations and bans, the diving and cheating, the press and reporting... I find myself getting more angry with the sport than actually enjoying it.

I'm going through Mass Effect again at the moment and getting a save to carry over to ME2.

I have to say, going back to ME made me appreciate the changes in ME2 a whole lot more. They really did improve on all aspects of the game.
