  1. Donadoni! Ace :D

    Donadoni in for Villa job

"Roberto is a great student of the English game and he is very interested in the job at Aston Villa," Collymore told skysports.com.

"He knows Villa are a top club with an ambitious owner and he feels he could be a success there.

"Roberto has worked at the highest level and he has always dreamed of coaching in England.

"Roberto has the experience and talent to help develop the best young English talent and also the knowledge to help find the best foreign talent available."

    :notworthy:

  2. David Sullivan is such a knob head.

"West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has told Everton that they need to be ‘more realistic’ in their valuation of Yakubu Aiyegbeni after rating the striker at less than a quarter of an £8million asking price"

    Followed by..

"Liverpool will have to shell out £20million if they want to lure striker Carlton Cole to Anfield from West Ham"

    Contradictive ****.

  3. General

I for one fully support Mr Lerner, and don't believe that he has put a foot wrong since he walked through the door. All you can ask from an owner is that he respects the traditions of the club, and that he backs his manager with money and freedom to do what he wants.

Well he's done all that and more, and given O'Neill the sort of working conditions that other Villa managers could only dream about. In return, I believe he's been badly let down by O'Neill, both in terms of value for money in respect of signings made, and also in the way he has repaid 4 years of brilliant backing by walking out 5 days before the season starts.

I agree with this post, and I hope that Randy remains at the helm for a long while yet.

  4. I'd rather Big Kev stay on as manager tbh.

He knows the squad, the staff, the job... He especially knows the strengths and weaknesses of the youth/reserve players so maybe he will change things up a bit.

Give him a couple of months and see what he does.

He's certainly done well with the reserves, but I can't think of too many success stories when clubs have internally promoted a member of the coaching staff to management.

There is always a first. Don't know if we don't give him a chance. :)
