It's just fantastic for Villa to be involved and properly competing in the big matches once again. It's been a long time coming but I now BELIEVE that Villa are going to challenge for the league - this season might be too soon for the team but it's brilliant that a long term strategy is clearly evident with the way we're going about things. Love it!

Great to hear General, I've been trying to get over for next week's Liverpool game but it seems the whole damn travel system is working against me, I can't get anything to work logistically no matter what I try. If there was ever to be any kind of "package deal" on offer from AVFC I'd take it in a heartbeat. It's not so much the cost, but more the serious hassle of trying to join up all the dots with planes, trains and beds etc. Guess I'll be watching Setanta next monday Great news that Villa are looking at the Irish market. I too would agree that package deals from AVFC for fans travelling from Ireland would be something i'd be delighted to see and avail of.

General, quick thanks for all the work that has been done over the last 18 months. If the next three and a half years maintain this sort of progress I'll be more than happy.

I had a dream last night that we'd signed Ribery! The last time i had a sport related dream it was of Ireland thumping Italy in the rugby. Put the house on Ribery being our first signing this summer!

With the money that Beckham would generate for the club it would be like a free transfer, covering his wages as well. (Well, i'm no football financial analyst, so don't quote me on that) Why *wouldn't* every Villa fan want him at the club?? It's hardly like he's lost his blistering pace from his youth. Ahem ahem The guy is quality and works his socks off every game. Seems like exactly the type of player that MON rates.

There's very few sides that Beckham wouldn't improve. I for one would be delighted if we got him in January. Plus the shirts that he'd shift for Villa would cancel out his transfer fee before the ink had dried on the contract.
