Not gonna happen.
He'll go to Spurs or retire if he leave Madrid.
moderators, is it possible to have a £5 bet with fellow posters?

How surrealistic would it be to see no 23 BECKHAM in a Villa-shirt on the pitch? To me it would be harder to understand than both Randy and MON. Not that he would be better for us than any of them are, but if we signed him now in january that would really show we mean business and would easily be the biggest star we ever have signed. Not the best, but the biggest. That would turn the attention of the last few not looking our way to us. Once and for all. Still doubt it'll happen, though.
he's a hard working mother **** as well
ps - dont give a shit what mr steve 'up my own arse' mclaren thinks of him anyway
-
are you saying we're like Bruce Willis in Unbreakable? i remeber he had problems with water, so i hope it doesn't rain.

Dear Mr Beckham
You're great. Please come to Villa. It's not far from Hertfordshire, and Birmingham have opened the Mailbox so it's got lots of great clothes.
Thankyou
Ben

petrov crosses to maloney..........
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EQohNer9WA
wonder if they'll be saying that in the champions league final of 2008?
-
I have also heard that Maloney is a almost certain to be joining us.
Pacey left sided player who is ideal for the role that MON has been using Luke Moore in. Not a winger but a back up to the forward line who is left sided and pacey
So from next summer our front 5 (excluding striker), could be
Maloney-------------------------------------------------Milner
------------Petrov-----Mccann--------Beckham
urgh.....
has anyone got a kleenex?
-
Beckham will probably not come to the premiership. He will head over to the USA where they are willing to pay the huge wage that he will want. Only Newcastle will pay his wages in the Premiership.
TBH i would much rather see Milner come to Villa. Give me the future, not the past.
nice way of putting it cyrusr, but why not get both? lerner will see beckham as immediate ROI, and Milner an unfinished artcile that can learn under beckham. It's a no brainer.
-
Please Beckham Beckham Beckham Please.........
i 100% agree. both agbonlahor and angel are good with their heads. and we all know what beck's crossing is like 8)

I know we're still lacking pace, but I reckon he'd be class for a season and a half
Beckham can go for £5mBy IAN MCGARRY
October 25, 2006
DAVID BECKHAM can quit Real Madrid for a cut-price £5million in January.
The former England captain, 31, is fed up with life on the bench under new coach Fabio Capello and is refusing to sign a new contract.
Now the Spanish giants are prepared to take a £20m loss on the player when the transfer window opens rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
Real bought Becks from Manchester United in July 2003 for £25m.
A club source said: “Beckham has made his feelings clear over the past few days.
If the coach continues to leave him out of the team then there is every chance we will accept a suitable offer for him in January.â€
Becks was used as a late sub in Sunday’s 2-0 win over rivals Barcelona after claiming life at Real was “sad†and “frustratingâ€.
At £5m, there will be plenty of interest from Premiership clubs even though he recently said he would not return home.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder believes there would be no shortage of suitors if he changed his mind. He insisted: “I think a lot of clubs in the Premiership would like to have David Beckham.
“I’m sure he’s got plenty to offer whether he stays at Real or moves on.â€

Martin will definately go for Milner again in January and i think he will make a bid for Maloney at Celtic. If he goes for a striker i would love to see Darren Bent come in. A classy english centre forward with a good footballing brain and youth on his side. What more could you ask for.
RONALDHINO!
-
right then, a theory for you. Frank Arnesen was at the Celtic Benfica game to look at Simao, because Wright-Phillips wants to leave in Jan............and the only team willing to pay 10 mill for Wright Phillips is.............
**** it - lets get beckham for a season
-
**** Darren Bent - get Kenny Miller from Celtic!
Ex dingle and second rate championship striker?
Nah, think I'll pass.
Benfica didn't think so last night. Not many strikers can score the second goal he did

Phil Jagielka should be on MON list, a fine player who MON would turn into a great player.
got a good shot on him aswell
-
I agree with villab0y - I don't believe that Nolan is worth anymore than Petrov..... Certainly a player who I think has been overlooked too often because again he plays for an "unfashionable" team, but I don't think he can be placed anywhere near the 20 Mill bracket.
yes - but dont transfer fees tend to work along the lines of "what incumbent manager thinks their player is worth / 2 = fee"
-
nolan= no chance, on the basis big sam claimed he is worth 20mill.
hasn't lerner said if MON pitches a good case for a player, he'll come up with the cash?
-
i and lots of my friends feel this way to. the low point was getting beating by small heath in their first season in the premiership - that sucked ass big time. that blue nose dick making a rocket polisher sign in front of enkelman's face really epitomised our fall from grace.
saying that, he probably cant get a job now, and we look like a top 6 club. ho ho ho
-
Podolski for 20m+. Now I have heard it all.
what would you expect him too cost then? he was 10 million before the world cup and was one of the world cups best players and only 21 he will cost a lot more than 10 million now and thats excluding that bayern won't just sell him because they have been offered 7 million more than what they paid for him only a few months a go especially as he has plenty to offer them for many years
you seem to be running low on full stops. here's a couple for you

DDID
For the record I rate our chances of signing Klose as minimal at best - Podolski on the other hand would probably be tempted.
if this was pro evolution soccer, zidane will be respawned in time for next season. he'll be 17, and on a free contract. i reckon we should just sit tight for him.

I'd have thought Sidwell would be more like Petrov than McCann. A goalscoring attacking midfielder. Not saying I don't WANT him, just that McCann's position is safe .... for now.
we need cover for mccann - he is injury prone
??? Agreed. My point was that Sid aint that cover.
sorry - wasn't in context of your quote BOF. I'd like to see a young understudy shadow mccann. cant we go and raid the ghana, senegal or ivory coast team? they seem to have a surefit of potential holding midfielders.

from football rumours. it 'd be nice if we signed adu....
Aston villa will sign freddy adu in january as part of a sponsorship deal with the owners of the mls, also bale from southampton for 3million plus hendrie, milner from newcastle for 4million and henrik larsson for the rest of the season

Yes please for Robbie Keane!
After his abject shocking excuse for a display against Cyprus on Saturday, I will spit on Robbie Keane if I ever see him, regardless if he's wearing Claret & Blue.
Sorry.. I'm still upset.
Agreed. Embarassing isn't the word.
what was his excuse?!?!?!? :?:

seeing the impact SWP made when he came on for England and Chelsea in recent weeks, I'm sure we could accomodate him at VP. I'd rather we spent money on him rather than Defoe, and stick with 4-3-3. It's the formation of the modern, counter-attacking game.
