    I love Milners' attitude and ability, but surely Ashley Young has made right wing his own position with the way he finished the season. Im sure i read somewhere that Ash said he prefers playing on the left!!! so maybe next year it might be... young..........barry.............nrc..............swp awesome and julieb i agree that those prices are a bit conservative and didnt realise it was that much....randy will have to dig deep this summer!!!

    Ive seen on the OS that we have been linked with Sevilla forward Luis Fabiano, but like the Taylor link, cant find it anywhere...any ideas??

    Morning ladies and gents, just listening to BRMB and Tom Ross said we were linked with Matty Taylor from Pompey, but i couldnt find it on any sites. Think he would be a good signing to play left side and also be backup to Bouma a left back.

    Maybe a little O/T but i was watching Jimmy Hills Sunday Supplement yesterday and whilst on the subject of how Beckham has played at Madrid this year, Oliver Holt from the Mirror mentioned that he was sitting with John Robertson at some awards evening last week and he said that JR had told him that he had been watching Madrid all season and that Becks was one of their best players. This aint a Beckham rumour by the way, I was just excited that we may sign someone from Real Madrid!! Why would JR be watching Real Madrid if there aint someone there on MON shortlist??

    fair point sam, suppose the role i see him is more of the 4-3-3 role that JPA played early season than a deep lying role yet i do like the 4-4-2 thats been played recently with Barry in centre with Petrov/Gardner

    With MON linked with pacey forwards e.g Bellamy, Bent, Defoe and with the emergence of Gabby in his preferred centre forward role, could anyone see perhaps Carew playing behind two pacey forwards, he holds the ball up and brings others into play and could go past the strikers, but then wouldnt offer much defensively, and that MON likes all round midfielders who are comfortable going back and forward, this may quash my idea. Gabby....................Bent/Moore/Bellamy ................Carew....................................... Barry.......Petrov..........Young What you think??

    I dont want to set my sights too high though!!! I am happy to give MON and players time because the Prem is a chaotic league in terms of pace and can take some adjusting to (see Drogba, Henry)

    I want Huntelaar, Sneijder, SWP and Sidwell as our forward based players (I know Sidwell and Sneijder are midfielders but I like Petrov sitting deeper!) L.Young, Distin, Bridge and Boruc as our defensive signings!! Would see us in Top 6-8 next year!!

    Just read on the SkySports website that we are linked with Lyon midfielder Kim Kallstrom, perphaps JC has recommended him and maybe he has recommended the club to Kallstrom! Saw him couple of years ago play against England (the same game J'lloyd was on the bench) and he looked awesome, also seen him score and set up some great goals on Eurogoals. I also always sign him on Football Manager 2007 and he is class

    Yakubu is a great shout...i dont think it will mean that Gabby or Luke will miss out either because he could play in place of Carew or with him or either of the two younger lads, so seems like the perfect signing, despite his work-rate, he will get you goals and make a few aswell!
