  1. Hi General, I hope all is well, I have just received a phonecall from MWARLEY2 who has asked me to post this message on his behalf. He wants you to know that by the M42 Island in Shirley there is a billboard advert still promoting the Villa v Blackburn game that took place a few weeks ago.
  2. At this moment in time and withthe current situation, Martin Laursen
  3. I'm going to single out one player that has recevied a ton of stick this season. PETROV - well done. Played a good game and bled for the claret and blue today
  4. I've heard that the shitty still have 4000 seats available due to the high prices. Can anyone confirm?
  5. Hi General, Out of curiosity what is the current situation between yourself and the BCFC board? did it all get sorted, or was it a case of letting sleeping dogs lie?
  6. TBH General I was pretty disgusted by that post. I am sure that all Villa fans share my opinion on this. I myself can't help thinking it was a bluenose. If it was General, don't worry, we'll hammer them in both games and send the scum back to the division where they belong. UP THE VILLA!!!
  7. Thanks General for taking the time to reply. I do as many fans have a lot of faith in the board and MON, its just with the season about to kick off we was hoping for transfers to by 80-90% complete and to go in there with a bang. I'm looking forward to Saturday and I believe we've got a very good squad with quality that can help us achieve things. However as things stand I can see in juries getting the better of us which will be our downfall. I really hope MON will pull off some good trnasfer coups in the next few weeks. Again, thanks for your time.
  8. Hi General, As you are aware many fans are very appreciative of what the board and MON has done for this club. It is great to have guys like you running AVFC and doing what you can to make us a success. I myself trust you guys in whatever you do but I have to ask a question that I know you cannot answer, but maybe someone at the club can. In terms of player negotiations, why are we still negotiating 3 days before the season when this could have been started around May-June time? I do believe it is vital to get the right sort of players in but I can't help feeling as if things have been left a little late. This is not a dig but just a question that I needed to get off my chest. Best Regards Grievemeister
  9. Hi General, Terrific game today and the atmosphere for a friendly was cracking. I wonder if you can answer this question for me. I am a ST holder in the HE. My ticket for todays game was in the Trinity. When I put the card in the machine it wouldn't accept it. I had purchased a ticket and i was told by the ticket office at the time that the ST's would be programmed for each of the stands. Can you find out why there was a problem, it wasn't just me but other people were stranded outside as well. Cheers Grievemeister
  10. I voted between 8th - 10th. If we get more players in to build the squad we will finish higher. Otherwsie I can see injuries doing us in.
  11. I personally do not want to see this at all. There is a home section and an away section and it should stick that way. Fulham only have a neutral zone as they have a very small home support. This is a strategy they have implemented to fill the ground on home games. Villa do not need this and should be looking at getting the faithful back to our ground.
  12. Petrov would no way of signed for us if DOL was in charge because we awere a club in decline. Force out the likes of Bouma and Mellberg has confused me as these are players that will help us get European football. These are class players in their own position so I am not entirely sure which players you are looking at to replace them, when it is clear that we should be looking at other positions to help us achieve our ambitions at the next level.
  13. Hmmm, we might be getting a surprise next season me thinx. I don't. Not for one minute. This Bale reminds me of Ian Harte. Okay, he has potential but the only part of his game that has made him stand out is his freekicks.
  14. Good article but I have to ask 'has Lee Hendrie actually left'?
  15. I just read that Sneijders transfer to Valencia has fallen through. Links no doubt will appear later
  16. Excpress & Star: Villa’s £7m Reo-Coker bid wd2018093wembley-13-rh-24.jpgVilla have bid £7m for West Ham captain Nigel Reo-Coker, according to sources in London. Boss Martin O’Neill is in pole position to sign the England under-21s skipper, and is now believed to have stepped up his interest with an offer for the midfielder. Sources in the capital insist the way is clear for Villa to snap up the 23-year-old as Martin O’Neill’s first summer signing. The Hammers are believed to be keen to accept Villa’s offer with interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle not forthcoming.
  17. so where would we fit in Reo Coker and Petrov then ? the joys of having a big squad :winkold: Something none of us could of said this time last year
  18. Koumas is a good player but never tracks back, thats my only concern
  19. I'm not sure Spoony. There are some internal wrangles at Valencia at the moment between Carbone and Flores which could hinder the signing of Schneider. What about Sneijder though?! And him
  20. I'm not sure Spoony. There are some internal wrangles at Valencia at the moment between Carbone and Flores which could hinder the signing of Schneider.
  21. Just ruined my week, my summer, my life. I was hoping he'd go to the sty. If its any consolation old fart we should think he rejected the blowse for a bigger club
  22. Whenever i seen Scott Parker play for the barcodes he did not exactly stand out in an average side. so in that case WHU are welcome to him. NRC has better prosects!
  23. SSN reporter has confirmed his sources have told him teh Parker and Barton deal were not dependant on each other and that Villa are favourites to sign NRC
