Surely this will push this Ukraine deal through faster than you can say potatoes right?

In a sane world, yes. But in sane world it would’ve been passed last September. Unless Trump flips to backing Ukraine, which he absolutely won’t, this probably changes nothing.

The thing that’s got everyone in the US scurrying around could just be some kind of new anti-satellite system, but the scale of the flap is highly unusual, which is what makes me think it’s likely nuclear related.

ITV news just reported on it as breaking news, no details except for believed to be related to Russia

it might still be something that non-nuclear, but given the flap in the US that seems unlikely.

If you think about space like a littoral zone that touches every part of the earth, nukes positioned in orbit are the equivalent of attacking a country from offshore but really close to its coastline. Seconds of warning before impact, zero opportunity for anti ballistic missile defences to intercept.

If it is a nuclear weapon then it’s an attempt to overcome existing defences and gain a first strike advantage in any potential conflict.

  3. Horrible performance and game lost in the first half. Pleased Diaby got one, hopefully he can kick on. Ramsey looking much better, young Tim useful when he came on. Might be time to shuffle the pack in midfield and I wouldn’t mind Kesler getting a game in front of Cash on Sunday - I think he’s a goner now. If Luiz and Kamara aren’t on it then the whole teams folds like cotton sheets. McGinn played like his foot was the enemy tonight.

The question was who's making an impact for us.

You want to bring on Chambers as an impact sub, is it?

No need to be narky, is there? The problem is in midfield and defence not up front, I didn’t say we had millions of options to fix it. Fact is these players are much better than they’ve just shown. If we can’t bring in better options then Emery needs to sort this nonsense out instead for the second half.

Don't you remember most fans saying were second in the league in 2023 we don't need to sign more players?

They must be right? Especially if you throw in an in Emery we trust etc

There’s an FFP reality we’re dealing with, in fairness. This team are playing within themselves tonight, 5 great minutes then mentality collapses.
