  1. 2 days later and the FA have requested all footage of the incidents reported, both from the pitch invasion and what happened in the stands

At worst were going to get a substantial fine (£100,000+) warned as to future conduct and we will be told to beef up the stewarding

Best case is a minimal fine (smallheath got fined £20k for invading the pitch in the qf against us in 2011), and a warning against future conduct and told to improve stewarding

Neither club is coming out of this smelling of roses, its easy to say as fans that we were simply releasing the emotions after having nothing to celebrate in 5 years but in reality that's what I was for 99% of those on the pitch

The other 1% have been pictured spitting, shoving and jeering at boaz myhill, Callum mcmanaman and joleon lescott, I hope those involved in these acts get punished accordingly

As for the F.A, what happened should be a catalyst for them not to be strong armed into letting a local derby in a cup game with a game at Wembley at steak kick off after giving the fans a chance to get on the piss all day

As for the seat throwing and crowd trouble, shame on Aston Villa for thinking everything would be rosy letting Wba fans sit above Aston villa fans in the north stand, what exactly did they expect to happen.

Everything that happened was entirely preventable by having the game lick off at 12.30

Whoa whoa whoa what did they expect to happen with Albion fans above villa fans? Almost sounds like it's excusing what they did.

  2. Fair play to him for putting the extra work in on he training ground, sherwood has always said that he'll pick players based on performance in training and nzogbia is proof of that. It sends out the right message to the others.

  3. Fed up with the rubbish being spouted now, drunken yobs apparently, they weren't drunken yobs they were fans enjoying the result and got a bit carried away.

The fans that went on before the final whistle thought the game was over, nothing more, they didn't go on to cause trouble. You'd think there was a full scale riot in the middle of the pitch the way the media are going on.

Had it happened at an away ground I could understand why they'd be an issue with it but we were at home.

  4. The most annoying thing about the red card is it can't be appealed.

An appeal would be unsuccessful anyway. It was a dive.

Unfortunate, and does seem harsh seeing as the first booking was so innocuous, but it's only a 1 game ban for the sunderland game

I just don't think it was worthy of a card. We have ex pros telling us all the time that it's part of the game and is clever play.

  5. Has a team ever been throw out of any competition for fans running on the pitch?

The drama around this is kind of unbelievable, it's not even an uncommon event and it's certainly not a return to the dark ages or ugly scenes.

    Man City fans last year!

And Stoke fans while Pulis was manager, these scenes were describes as extraordinary, not ugly or poisonous.

Didn't Albion fans do it after the "great escape".

  6. Our share of a five billion pound tv deal should cover it. Live a little my friend.

If running onto a football pitch is your definition of "living" then I'm glad I don't have your life :)
Tell that to some of the kids that went on and can't wait to tell their friends about it t school and show them photos.
If it was just kids running on there'd not be an issue
Explain to me the difference and what is the age limit of acceptability please.

Kids are kids and are highly unlikely to contain drunk thugs in their numbers. Adults are not kids, though they do act like it sometimes, and are very likely to include drunken thugs in their numbers (the kind who, allegedly, assaulted some WBA players, stole our own captain's armband and boots and bit him, and decided swinging from the crossbars was somehow a good idea).

The FA would be unlikely to fine a club for a spontaneous post-match pitch invasion by 11 year olds is another important factor, nor would home or away players feel in any way endangered.

Gloss it up however you like, you did something incredibly stupid with a lot of other people. The only real difference is that you've dropped yourself in it by saying it on the board, which Limpid will be obliged to turn over to the police along with your email/IP address.

You make it sound like Delph got mugged! Let's not ignore the smile he had on his face whilst saying it.

I must say I didn't see everything that happened from my seat in the upper holte and obviously anyone that went on to cause trouble is an idiot. It seemed fairly well natured to me though.

  8. Blown way out of proportion, I was in the upper holte so had no chance on getting on the pitch. Before the final whistle was stupid, I can't help but think a few thought the game had ended and went on and then people followed. They didn't go on to cause trouble FFs! The scheduling was ridiculous, I saw people that could barely stand up! But I also saw kids on e hallowed turf for the first time and memories they won't forget telling their friends at school on Monday. Anything that wasn't done in celebration is to be ashamed of but thats a very small minority as always. Most of the Albion fans had gone by this time and those that stayed couldn't contain themselves and threw seats. After what we've been through the last 4 years, a trip to wembley is something to look forward to, a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

Are those that went on the pitch during the world cup final idiots as well?

  9. Wow albion fans are really laying into pulls, can't actually believe some people on here wanted him!

onto the game, tonight they started the better of the 2 teams and ideye should have ur them in front. I thought half time came at a good time for us and allowed sherwood to tear into them. Second half was much better and the early goal from delph took the roof off. Lescott then had a glorious chance sight away but thankfully put it wide. I've got no idea about he sending offs, will ned to see them both again but both seem harsh. Sinclairs goal was brilliant and gave us that much needed breathing space. Heard given on talksport after the game and he talked about how sherwood puts his arm around some players and tears into others, this s what man management is all about. A long way to go especially in the league but at least we have a nice trip to wembley and who knows what can happen there.

  10. WBA fans love him

    - Timothy 'Captain B**end' Sherwood - With his new comments today he really does think he is a managerial genius after winning one game, the theatrics, the camera faces, etc i really hope we beat them to shut this p***k up. I dont think it would hurt Villa to spend a season or two in the championship, however i am not desperate for them to go down, enjoying seeing them struggle but would miss not playing them (As do Wolves) as these games have a lot more to them than say Hull or Swansea. However with Sherwood in charge, my hopes of them going down have increased.

Enjoy seeing them struggle, worry about your own struggling club!

They really hate Tim and were singing about him on Tuesday, makes me like him more.
