  1. Really pisses me off that I can only buy one ticket. I have been to 5 games, my mate only to 3. So obviously not going to go on my own, so have to wait until they are on general sale so we can buy together.

Why does it piss you off? Would you be more pissed off if season ticket holders were able to buy more than one ticket and it would have got this far?

  2. I rang to renew my sons Junior Villa membership today and spoke to a bloke who was telling me about the ticket situation,he said the tickets aren't selling that fast but are selling, like somebody just said they are selling section by section, also in next few days the next criteria for after 9th April will be published,he seemed to think it would go to 2/3 games this season then general sale if that helps.

Not surprised they're selling slowly due to the criterias they've set.

  3. Couple of villa staff told me yesterday they doubt villa will sell there allocation which I found very hard to believe but they said the game being on a sunday and on tv and it being a semi final and not final

I reckon it will sell out. If Walsall can take 27,000 I think Villa should be able to shift 31,900 tickets. It might go to general sale though, It has been 5 long, hard years since the last time Villa played at Wembley and at least it should be a nice distraction from the unrelenting grind of staying up.

    Probably 10k villa lol.

TBH I just don't think theres the same buzz around that there was 5 years ago. Every day i would get calls/texts to keep an ear out for spares, think this time round I've had just 2/3 to date.

Don't get me wrong i would like to go but I'm really not that fussed if i get a ticket or not, especially now it means loosing a days money on the Monday!

The bigger picture appears a lot of damage has been done over the last 4/5 years and folk have simply just lost the bug and its not coming back over night.

Pretty sure we struggled to sell the tickets for the last semi final there, although that could be due to having been there in the league cup final a month before and people not fussed or wanting to go again.

  4. No goal today but he got MOM. Ran the show apparently. Good lad. Lucky Lambert didn't let him go for 50k

Didn't lambert give him a new contract?

yeah 2 year deal. Thats why i said lucky he didnt let him go.

I think a lot of managers would have let him go, fair play to lambert for giving him a contract.

  5. How does Villa Cash work in relation to getting a ticket for this game? Looking at joining Villa Cash to qualify for a ticket earlier . Does anybody know if this doable? And what is the catch with Villa Cash? As far as I can see it's a payment upfront and that's it?

Villa cash is no longer on sale.

For anybody worried about view, in my opinion there is no such thing as a bad view at Wembley. I've watched 3 nfl games there and villa 3 times, sat in different areas each time and had no issue. Wouldn't say I prefer one over the other.

  6. Leave it until later then Robbie, but you'll be at risk of not getting a ticket at all if they're selling quick - like those people who have a choice of the block but have to wait longer to get them.

I've just got 2 tickets, category 2, upper tier + coach travel. I can't be doing with driving or trains, the coach is much easier for lazy people like me. It took 5 or 6 minutes to get through to someone, but after that, the woman I spoke to was really nice.

One thing I will say, is that it would make sense to have a phone option specifically for Wembley. As opposed to listening to the Ts&Cs for a minute, then pressing 1 for ticket info, then pressing something else for away tickets, then putting your client reference in the keypad. It seemed a bit of a faff, that could have been avoided. (Or, it might just be Villa's way of staggering the calls that are waiting to come through, so the 'wait times' seem a bit less).

Every season ticket holder will get a ticket if they buy before start of April so just wait until then to But if it's an issue?

  7. Surely it's going to be Sunday, with WBA at Palace & SHA at Watford on the Saturday?

Its irrelevant. Watford and Palace are absolutely nowhere near wembley

But it makes it a lot easier for those that want to meet up and cause trouble to do so.

  8. Lambert didn't do a decent job. The fact its been such a change in such a short amount of time shows just how awful he was.

Should never have started the season with us. Why anyone was desperate to keep seeing him get more time is beyond me. We were only ever heading in one direction with him.

At least he's gone now and hopefully we stay up so we can get taken over and the whole Lerner Lambert combo will just be a miserable memory.

It's pointless debating this now, let's revisit in 3 years time as a new manager coming in and getting results isn't unheard of.

  9. Surely it's going to be Sunday, with WBA at Palace & SHA at Watford on the Saturday?

We also thought they wouldn't play the we Saturday evening but they did. Nothing will surprise me when the fa, to and police are involved!

  10. Personally I don't care who where or what time we play. We are in an FA Cup Semi Final and are hitting some sort of form so we will have as good as chance as ever of getting to the final. I understand people want to make arrangements but it doesn't take long to book a coach or train ticket. The FA have undermined the cup again this season with the replay dates and not keeping the late Saturday KO for themselves. They should have a look at themselves and we should show them that the cup still means something to proper fans by raising the roof at Wembley.

You might not care but some might be able to make one day and not the other. It's like buying a ticket to a gig and not knowing when it will be, madness.

  11. Just wanted to let people know that the criteria on the 9th April is 5 home games only, not away games, utterly ridiculous. Luckily enough QPR has been rearranged for the 7th April, more money spent on Tim Sherwood's claret and blue army ;)

Does the game not have to have been played though? I know it did last time as people I knew tried to buy tickets for game in the near future to boost their chances but it didn't work.

Edit - just read that it's the 9th you can buy a ticket on, thought it was earlier.

  12. Having villa baggies and blues fans all in London on the same day is asking for trouble. You and I may not think so but it's giving those that want to cause trouble the perfect opportunity.

  13. When are they going to announce when the game will be played? It would help to know!!

Either late tonight, or more likely, tomorrow, is my guess.

They're waiting to see if Arsenal go through in the Champions League, because the two legs of the CL quarter final are either side of the FA Cup semi. If they go through, I would guess that they would play on the Saturday. If they don't, I would expect us to play on the Saturday, as they probably want the two teams with the least travelling to do to play on the Sunday.

I don't think the Blues/Baggies games in London on the Saturday afternoon are as big a deal as some are making out. Given that Man United are playing at Chelsea on Saturday night, I would expect the first semi-final to be on Saturday lunchtime (with the second semi late afternoon on Sunday). So the travel plans of Villa/Baggies/Blues fans wouldn't coincide too much if we were playing on the Saturday.

Saturday lunchtime would be a nightmare, they've always been played late afternoon. Plus the baggies/ blues thing isn't to do with travel, it's to do with them all being in London at the same time and could cause trouble.

  14. Just been on the ticket site and they have a "Final 5" package where you can purchase tickets for 5 games for £110. Will this add 5 tickets to your account?

I'm not willing to spend that much just to make it in the last listed criteria, but some might.

They won't, the matches will have had to be played.

  15. Reading fans throwing flares at end of the match when they ran on the pitch at Bradford fans

Some people have asked what is the difference? and idiots have said they didn't run on before the end of the game?

What about this chap then? double standards

The issue the Beeb have is that a very small minority of villa fans did it before the final whistle. They've had a little pop at villa fans saying "unlike villa fans they waited until the final whistle".

as shown in my picture mate they have had invaders before the final whistle as well!! hate the BBC

That was just one Bradford fan wasn't it?
