  1. Lambert's statement almost made me cry, it was like something out of a movie. I really hope the club addresses all this General Krulak nonsence tomorrow.

Jesus christ... he's a manager who was awful for us. It's not like he's dying and has given his farewell speech. He's been a complete failure and got sacked. I'm so happy he's gone.

I agree with what Krulak said, the football was dire, win, lose or draw it's been horrific every year Lambert has been in charge.

Tried his best, but is a terrible football manager.

He's far from a terrible football manager And hasn't been a complete failure. To keep this club up was a miracle.

  2. A lot of hate for Sherwood despite his record at Spurs being pretty decent. He is inexperienced but full of energy, passion and commitment. These are 3 things we lacked massively under Lambert, he would certainly liven the place up as it was very depressing under Lambert.

I'm amazed that you can say lambert lacked those 3 attributes. You could never question his passion and commitment and to question his energy you must have been at the training ground everyday.

  3. Paul's statement is a nice one to be fair, I like the guy and really wish it would have worked here. This is a massive club and I thank him for understanding this club and its history. He'll be disappointed that he's gone but fair play to him for taking on the challenge that Lerner told him would be the toughest challenge. Good luck Paul

  4. What was bent saying on TS? I missed it

Just how coming back is out of his hands and we're a great club that needs a fresh manager with a new approach etc. Maybe I'm reading to much in to it. He does seem an intelligent guy though.

He spoke well of the club but not sure when he said he doesn't know what the agreement is between villa and Derby, surely he does.

  5. Thing is Sherwood will know we are desparate and hold out for the biggest deal and want jobs for all his mates....also with an absentee owner....do we need a manager who will be hankering to get back to London everyday....

Those are my concerns - but I think he might keep us up in the short term...

Well we need back room staff as well.

  6. Mark Warburton would be a fantastic choice. This guy is going to be a big player in the managers circle in next few years i think

    Sounds familiar..

We cant let one bad experience prevent us from doing what we want to do moving forward

but i think they would look at someone experienced. i think they will go for sherwood

Is sherwood experienced? He had half a season at Spurs and that's it!

  7. No to Redknapp by the way, don't be so ridiculous.

Lambert isn't going to be sacked is he? That's utterly mental. Steve Keane esq isn't it.

As much as I dislike redknapp as a person he is a better manager than lamebert. Things are that bad under this clown, I would take him Redknapp. He is passionate and gets best out of what he has.

I think curbishly for me is the best choice

Redknapp resigned due to needing knee surgery and not being able to stand up for more than 10 mins.

  8. If we weren't in the cup still, I could see him going tomorrow.

The fact we have an arguably winnable cup game on Sunday gives Lerner and Fox am excuse to keep him. Just in case we can take the cup down with us.

I hope that wouldn't be used to keep him, it's even more reason to get rid now.

  9. I thought the size was going to be an issue for me but it isn't at all. Its more expensive when compared to other nexus handsets but when compared to similar models, the note 4, iPhone 6 plus its still much better value. It does depend what you use your phone for I guess, if its music, films, games and internet then go for the nexus.

  10. So I took the plunge yesterday and bought a nexus 6 and I'm glad I did. The phone is incredible! The size was the thing that was putting me off but I love it and it doesn't actually feel that big when using it. The screen is superb and the front facing speakers are ideal for watching films and listening to music. If anyone's tempted by the phone I'd highly recommend it.

Both this and the new Moto X are ideal but the lack of either on contract is just ridiculous but not as ridiculous as the trade in values for Nexus 5 - anybody would think it was a £150 handset when launched.

I don't buy phones on contract but you can get the nexus 6 on contract at carphone warehouse. I'm not expecting to fetch much for my nexus 5.

  12. His signing interview with woodward was on the interviews section on avtv for a about 3 hours today. Its been taken down now. Cant believe no1 else saw it. The way he was speaking was very good too and from the sounds of it sounds like its a permanent deal as he mentioned gow happy he was to finally sort his ling term future out as he was fed up with loans and living out of a suitcase. Again, how has no1 else on here seen this today. Its a done deal. Massive massive cock up from the club. Someone will lose their hob over this, unfortunately.. Not lamberk.

Since joining Man City I believe he's had the grand old total of ONE loan...

If it's a done deal why would they take it down?

He was out on loan quite a lot earlier in his career before settling at Swansea

Little harsh on the kitchen staff, I know we've been cost cutting but I don't see that making much difference.

  14. I like bent and have done since he joined us but he's not worth the money he's reported to be on. I'd be a lot happier if we were able to sign a couple of players by getting rid of him.

  15. There's been a number of strikers that have naged the goals in the championship and not done it in the prem. Nobody can questions that bent is a very good instinctive finisher, the few goals he scored for Fulham last season were the type of goals you'd expect him to score. When playing one player up frotbas most teams do! Bent is not the type of striker you'd pick. I couldn't care if he scores 20 goals for derby, for me that won't prove anything.
