Loved to see SWP at VP but we'd be behide Arsenal and Man City for him. If Arsenal dont sign him that would leave us and Man City - he may opted to go back to the side he knows and has played for. Hope im wrong though

just to extent the 'dublin' comment... we have alot of youngests at the club and I think we could bring dublin in some sort of motivation coaching role - he was a damn good forward and defender - not sure if he is already a coach but it would be a shame if he wasnt!

ermmm this would be the biggest signing in villas history! he would bring in £millions to the club (+ good thing) he would bring media to the club (+ good thing but i think there would be too attention on him and on the club) he is still a half decent player I'll bring him if he was going for cheap

SWP is the player most (well what looks like most) of villa fans... hes young, fast, skillful and bloody talented! He isnt getting as many games as he would like at Chelsea - and i think MON could help he become a top player!

Charlton are in the crap this season.... I think villa can wait till the end of the season and pick up bent for 5-6million from a team who have just been relegation to the fissy pop league I wouldnt like to see MON break our transfer record on some1 like Bent - yeah he's good but I dont agree with the bumped up price

I agree with this. I think we need a new RB as hughes is a weak link. Bridge would be a perfect signing - he a good defender and could be on his way out now cole is at chelsea (could get him on the cheap) SWP - this kid isnt goona get a chance at chelsea. Another one on the cheap. He's skillful and has quick Parker- He would command that central position therefore allowing for Barry and Petrov to bomb forward. Cant see Newcastle selling though Milner - think MON will want him still. He played well for us when we were crap... this kid would be great in the current villa squad

Would be nice to have the north stand changed to something more imaginative If changing the name brings in a couple of million then go for it.... Yeah - its nice to keep the traditional stadium name but end of the day its just a name.

I agree that Doug needs to go.... its time to go However I do believe that bringing in MON now - before the season starts - was a excellent move by who ever it was What villa dont have is time atm - the season is just around the corner and with takeovers taking weeks/months to complete it was in the best interest for everyone to appoint MON now. Appointing him now doesnt neccessary mean Doug is trying to sweeten up the villa fans... but i can see why some ppl think this. With MON in place now it means that we have secured a top manager for the start of the season... with the takeover completed by villa 5/6 game of the season. Doug will go... but not just yet... give it a few months for the papers to be finalised and signed by Mr Lerner

its a step foward.... yeah.... its been a great day to have MON as our new manager!!!! but the champ's is on ice till the takeover is complete
