  1. IF he's genuine ....... @INCOGNITOAVFC Like I said last night,he hadn't resigned. It was all brewing. It is imminent though. Can I just stress, Lambert 'IS' RL's No1 Choice.
  2. Oh well there's goes another page in Randy's cheque book!. Rumours off twitter(pinch of salt) is he'll be given £30M + player sales to spend on transfers this summer. Has a good reputation for picking up decent players from the Championship etc as well, so hope he spends it wisely.
  3. Timothy Abraham ‏@TimothyAbraham However #NCFC have NOT accepted Paul Lambert's resignation. #AVFC
  4. You'll laugh when I give you his addi..... but honestly he's been absolutely spot on with his ITK last day or so from everything all of us had heard. His account only started about 24 hours ago. Goodness knows who he is... @INCOGNITOAVFC If he is for real and not just getting his stuff from PL side on just this occasion..........I hope he doesn't go the way of the lass who genuinely WAS ITK on twitter - because she got so much stick on there she just ceased to use the account!
  5. Martinez turned down the chance to talk to AVFC as we all know from Dave SSN Whelan! However a few little dickie birds reckon we got our revenge this summer! "Sorry Mr Martinez we're pretty certain the vacancy has now been filled... thanks for your interest"
  6. The guy on twitter who claims to be from club who started his account yesterday....and backed up ALL the ITK on Lambert that was flying about... I have to say has been absolutely spot on with what he's posted so far.... He's just tweeted the following - "Deal should be wrapped up this evening or tomorrow at the latest. Villa have acted proficiently and prudent throughout" and bits earlier as well........... "Everything seems agreed. Its now a case of PL/Norwich separating amicably & peacefully,it will then b wrapped up briskly wivout trouble.#avfc" "One interesting thing that can be gleaned from this,as I said last nite was 'PL was extremely upset that Norwich changed their stance"
  7. He's wearing a suit in that pic. Reckon he's stopping off at Tesco's first.... wherever he's off to!
  8. Why because I don't beleive we will get Lambert ? Hes been my number 1 choice. But Faulkner/Randy have demonstrated an inability to close done deals in the past. - have they not ? Such as? I can think of Milner coming from NUFC the first time under MON as the only time a deal hasn't gone through. That was entirely down to Freddy as well NOT Lerner. The only one's who we didn't get before they'd even discussed terms as far as I'm aware are..... Charlie Adam - Blackpool said NO. Who else ... OGS for millions of family reasons before he'd even been offered the job. Martinez turned down the chance to speak to Lerner last summer . Anyone else?
  9. This.. made me chuckle ‏@mjyharris SKY SPORTS NEWS : Paul Lambert seen having breakfast at Carrow Road this morning, eating a bowl of Cheerios #avfc
  10. We didn't screw it up with McLeish last Summer! :winkold: (Sorry BOF couldn't resist!)
  11. Talked about contract situation & the 12mnth rolling bit - so Villa wouldnt' need to pay as much compensation as with Liverpool & Brendan Rodgers... Mentioned heated words last night...he might have resigned but they're not sure... However he confirmed Villa are talking to PL's representatives about him taking over the managerial job etc etc AND said IF indeed Lambert has now left the club & is Villa bound then Norwich have a replacement they want to bring in ie Malky Mackay
  12. Especially when the name of the replacement for Lambert is named on Sky - who's standing outside the door of Carrow Road. Norwich I would imagine are going to have to be very careful with what they put out officially over this Lambert situation as well.
  13. Oh for goodness sake... the sky reporter is outside Carrow Road saying the opposite!!
  14. Eherm I'm now watching SSN & the reporter outside Carrow Road has confirmed that it appears Lambert has left the club, but no official statement as yet.... defo heated words last night and his representatives are now speaking to Aston Villa. Also interviewed Shay Given about the appointment - he said he'd be delighted if it all goes through today. Interestingly reporter also said who he thinks Norwich are lining up as a replacement.... Hmmmmm ergo someone at NCFC must have been thinking they MIGHT need a replacement for just a wee while now one would imagine?!!!!
  15. That's cos maybe Delia doesn't quite know what to say! Maybe VT should offer to write their press release for them. Dear Wiz & Co.....
  16. Oh please...... The meeting with Randy was known about a week ago, so how does that work then with what you've posted?
  17. And a possible interminable wait for our new manager to take the helm :? Not necessarily if Randy smooths things over with his cheque book. Not really fair though if that happens because if Norwich have indeed gone back on their word then Lambert has a point to be angry.
  18. Timothy Abraham ‏@TimothyAbraham Slight update.. #AVFC hopeful #NCFC and Lambert can resolve whatever situation has occured to enable things to progress. Norwich will argue for compensation for his resignation - Lambert will threaten a case of constructive dismissal. Stalemate I would imagine.
  19. I have posted what I've gleaned - Rumour is that he's walked because Norwich withdrew their permission for him to talk to us yesterday. Which also explains - why people knew about the meeting scheduled for today a week ago! Flip I wouldn't like to cross Paul Lambert... Scary!
  20. He has for sure... Read StanBalaban's post from earlier. Norwich will be at sixes and sevens at mo. Someone has even quoted the conversation via twitter... (take with pinch of salt) he had with Norwich last night... that went something along the lines of.... ''You granted me permission & now you have withdrawn from our agreement. You cannot surrender your word. Let us talk or I walk Lambert walked it would seem! THIS appears NOT to be a case of a manager simply walking out - it appears to be possibly a case of a club going back on an agreement and THEN the managers felt he has no option but to resign. If this is ALL true then THAT may well be potentially a case for "constructive dismissal".......... Will be interesting to see if LMA get involved in this one!
  21. Rumours on twitter............... I know...I know... Is that Lambert WAS given permission to speak to Villa by Norwich (backs up scheduled meeting planned for today)....but they went back on the agreement and withdrew permission yesterday. Lambert was not well chuffed..... So he walked!
  22. Also just to add to my post on the previous page ... last night I gleaned these tweets from a Sports Agent about Lambert before news broke he'd walked. Seems like Villa were sounding out representatives of managers BEFORE McLeish got the push! James Henry Cross ‏@SportsAgentJHC had pushed McLeish having been encouraged by feedback about the job from Lamberts camp. Now depends on agreement between clubs James Henry Cross ‏@SportsAgentJHC Not between the clubs, but when I first heard about Mcleish going about 3 weeks ago It was Lambert they had sounded out and..
  23. Lambert has walked but THIS was a planned walk because someone somewhere(can't say who) new as early as last week that Lerner was meeting with Lambert today and firmed up this week that Thursday ie would be the day of the "in depth talks" Also Lambert's walking out happens only a few hours AFTER Martinez states he's staying at Wigan.... Possibly because he was told he hadn't got the job and Villa had moved on & found someone else, while he'd been talking to Liverpool??!! SSN are way behind BTW over "reperesentatives" meeting up it would seem. As I see it there are 3 lines of evidence.... 1. Norwich kept this very quiet & the walking out bit is just a cover story for them actually accepting a deal with Villa over Lambert's departure, under the radar - For the fans sake they want to say - "well we fought to keep him - he just walked" 2. Norwich just did their best to stop Lambert coming to Villa - and something about this week Wed/Thurs and his rolling contract meant he didn't need their "permission" to speak to Villa finally..... and if he resigned apart from 12 months compensation being payable possibly he could make himself available. 3. Lambert has indeed had a blazing row with Norwich and walked out last night. Again surely Lambert wouldn't walk if he was not extremely confident of landing the job with Villa? There's a fair bit of evidence that this meeting was planned in advance and what's more the day he was to meet Lerner!....- we've also to add to the bits of ITK had someone coming out talking about his legal dept being involved with contracts been drawn up for Lambert with Villa who was a Gillingham fan IIRC & works for a firm of accountants - so why would he state lies? It now looks more likely he could have been correct. MM also told us to expect drama, twists & turns the unexpected....... so maybe although Lambert is the obvious choice what has happened or perhaps HAD to happen fits that description. We also don't know who the 3rd man is...but maybe that was just a back up Plan B... We shall see.....
  24. I wonder if Lambert walking out on Norwich after a storming row...fits MM's description of "twists, turns and drama and expect the unexpected" comment from yesterday? Unless of course it's a planned walk out/row - just to save Norwich's blushes that they've actually accepted the compensation gleefully? So that they can say categorically to their fans they fought as hard as they could to keep him....bla bla bla Hmmmmm
