  1. it always amazes me how shit some keepers look when they come in for a debut especially when they are young. They've spent their entire life playing as a goalkeeper and obviously gained a pro contract because they looked so good. Then they get a game and look like they've never near a football pitch in their lives

Nerves! Got 20,000 people watching you. I go to pieces giving presentations at work in front of 20 people!

  2. Just be aware when it comes to the companies doing cashback cheques via copies of your bills etc, be warned if they go bust (and they do on a regualr basis) the you have no comeback on the network.

  3. I don't get why they hate us, most villa fans don't care about them. You only have to look at the SHA thread, then we had thread a few pages questioning of they are a hated local rival, when you have to question that then you should know we don't care. I don't mind them tbh, hope they win today anyway

I think it depends what part of Brum you live and what generation you are from. I know Villa fans who consider the Baggies our main rivals and likewise Baggies fans who hate us more than Wolves.

  4. I'd have a few similar choices:

If it was me (and I haven't looked) I'd have guessed

    London Heathrow

Atlanta (remember reading it was busiest in America)

    Tokyo Narita

    Frankfurt

    Beijing

or maybe Hong Kong instead of Tokyo

  5. Anybody watch 5 Minutes To A Fortune on Channel 4? A couple just lost about £48k because the girl couldn't name 5 out of the top 10 busiest airports in the world.. She named 4 but couldn't name a 5th.. Just wondered why they use statistics from 2010 and not more recent.. She said Dubai but it was not in the top 10 list they used, but according to the 2012 statistics it is the 10th most busiest airport..

Its a strange question to ask as there are various factors that you could claim to be the busiest in the world. Most passenger movements. most airplane movements, most destinations offered, most international movements etc.

  6. I guess my biggest regret is that I didn't have an idea of what I wanted to do career wise. As it happens I fell into banking and now make a decent living but I don't enjoy it. It's a means to an end. It pays for my holidays and a good standard living so I can't be too critical of it. However, if I had my time again I would have trained to be a pilot. If i'd have given it my all from a young age I Imagine i would be living a good life now.

Other regrets? Not many.. few women I wish i'd given more of a chance too and some I wish I hadn't!

  7. At 18 I was pleased I'd be able to vote, apart from that I'm really not bothered about birthdays.

Then you realised that they are all as bad as each other.

  8.

My confession about being sick over a girls face (yes I was drunk) while shagging her seems insignificant in comparison now!

    Did you carry on?

    The mood was somewhat soured.

I can't even claim the folly of youth in this incident. It was 2 months ago.

  9. not sure if I asked this before - anyone ever used travelbag to book a holiday?

the prices on their website seem a bit too good to be true, but then they do have the "from" attached to the price and you have to ring them to book it, they have a store in Solihull, im half tempted to go sit in there for an hour and ask them to play about with the prices / destinations / hotels and arrange a multi centre holiday in asia next year (for example they are currently advertising 3 nights kuala lumpur, 3 nights Cambodia, 8 nights penang from £899)

Never used them but mates have and no issues,. They are a reputable company. I used Trailfinders for my first SE Asia trip and they were fine... everything went like clockwork. However, been back to Asia multiple times since and never used an agent since... just booked the flights and hotels myself.

  10. I'll be 34 in a couple of months and to be honest, I don't really care. Yeah I look back on pictures 10 years ago when I was fitter and slimmer etc and wish I could go back to that but on the flip side, I was always skint then.

  11. Saying that, 'budget' airline prices were the best in about 2006-2008, from my memory.. I remember £40 return flights to Rome and Lisbon on BMI Baby and that included checked luggage etc. Nothing seems that cheap nowadays.. even Easyjet and Monarch to Copenhagen and Malaga respectively last year were about £80 each return.
