Like a few other posters on here, I'd love to see a local company sponsor us but its bound be another gambling company.

there hasnt been much talk of who people would like to see in this thread like past transfer threads
That's because I change my mind every day as I do further research and try to second-guess what direction Lambert might go in.
Right now I'd "like" to see:
LB: Fabrice N'Sakala (Troyes)
CB: Bruno Ecuele (Lorient)
CM: Marco van Ginkel (Vitesse)
W: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqfmakUcQNQ(Bastia)
ST: Cenk Tosun (Gaziantepspor)
But as I say, this list could change tomorrow!
I bow to your superior knowledge Wes and i'm sure they are all great players but I can see the bulk of our signings being from the lower leagues in England. Young, hungry and ambitious. I think we may look at 1 or 2 continental signings but not all of them.

GK
out: Given and Marshall
in: either Boaz Myhill or Wayne Hennessey (as cup and second choice)
CB
out: Dunne
in: Abdoulaye Ba (or Robert Huth)
CM
out: Makoun, Ireland & Bannan
in: Adel Taarabt
CF
out: Bent & Delfouneso
in: no idea! (id like Bas Dost but i know it would never happen)
We'll be going backwards if do that!

Watched Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps last night
It was ok.. but kind of pointless if that makes sense. Watchable but nothing really happens.

sha fans still seem to be obsessed with 'firms' and fighting.

I always liked Beckham. Great footballer and carried the England team for years. He seemed to be the only player who cared at times.
I also subscribe to the fact he was a good bloke. Everything I have heard about makes me think that.

oh and you can cut the sexual tension with a knife in here. To borrow a phrase from our resident snowboarder, good lord.
Really? I thought it was just a load of blokes fawning over the few female posters in some vain attempt to get noticed by them?

Has anyone ever changed money at birmingham airport? Found a really good rate online if you order beforehand and pick up on the day?
i've ordered money on-line (and paid for it) and picked it up at Travelex at Brum airport before. Worked like clockwork. All I needed to do was show them the card I had paid for it with.

Watched American Psycho.
Really enjoyed it, despite not really knowing if I understood it totally or not!
Did he actually commit the murders? I kind of assume he did given Dafoe's character being around. But the last scene with the lawyer kind of made me think he might have dreamt it all, or maybe he wasn't even Bateman at all.
Or that we were seeing him through his own eyes if you like. How he saw himself. Whereas everyone else thought he was a loser
Read the book... the film is PG compared to the 18 rating of the book

Off Topic seems to be getting a little seedy and weird now with all the 'in jokes' and cliques.
Now?
Maybe its just more noticeable to me now as I probably don't spend as much time on here as other people.

Not that fussed about Arsenal Wigan, as Spurs will beat Sunderland.
Never rely on the bottling Spuds!
-
Not convinced on Pellegrini. Maybe Heynckes?
All change next season with the top jobs.

Wigan have to win... even a draw isn't good enough. Hopefully they'll take the game to Arsenal and then Arsenal will tear them apart on the counter. Arsenal need to win as well so its not as though its a nothing game for them.
I'd like to think Arsenal won't bottle it...

That guy works at my place

Delighted for Wigan! Don't get the hate for them on here at all? They play decent football and I do like Martinez. Yeah, Whelan can be a bit of a tool sometimes but a lot of football owners / chairmen can be! Man City are the epitome of what is wrong with football nowadays and i'm chuffed they lost
I thought it was a good game and McManaman played well and a deserved man of the match.
Still hope they get smashed by Arsenal though!

I hope Wigan win. Can't stand Whelan but quite like Wigan as a team and also like the manager.

Wore a pair of brogues out to an awards dinner tonight and they've completely shredded my feet so I had to sack off a night out and come home. Worn them in, even worn them out before with no problems but tonight my feet are in bits. Gutted.
Was it an awards dinner at Villa Park?
Nah, was at the Emirates!
Ah.. we had one at at VP last night. I didn't go as I'm an unsocialable word removed!

According to BBC, Moyes could be announced tomorrow

Fergie is an absolute legend, and the best British manager of all time in my humble opinion. He has built team after team to win trophies.
He is all I can remember at Man Utd. My first football memories are from '87 and he was in place then. Whoever replaces him has an impossible task
