The chairman said he sold it off so cheap so that the new owners could have more money to spend on transfers rather than lining his own pockets. What a novel idea that is... He also said it was because of his love for sunderland. Im sure doug would consider such a thing.

He told me that it had all gone to shit at villa park and that the stewards hadnt been paid for weeks. He said that if you really pressured villa for the pay, then they would eventually pay up. He thinks that Ellis is going to sell and leave the owners with the responsibility of paying them. Ok so i doubt his takeover speculation about the pay is correct but im a fair bit worried if we arent paying the stewards on time! Does anyone else have any info on this for anyone they know who is a steward? I trust the bloke who told me not to make up a load of shite as well. It its actually true then maybe we are in more financial shit than we thought.

Can i just point out that a year or so ago kiddy were being taken over in the summer. This resulted in no transfer activity and the manager missed out on over 8 players that he needed and the issue was only resoloved late on. Kiddy went down that season.
