    He's been mentioned several times. On pages... doh. :oops: Well he has! Of course he's better than Hughes, and I think he'll be out of contract at the end of the season. He'll be 30 in a few days' time but as a short fix he'd be fine. But he's already showed a lack of interest in moving out of London.

    In some countries it is considered that too much movement of players during the season can lead to manipulation of the league competition. OT, but in Spain a manager may not manage 2 clubs during the same season. I must confess I agree with you, PB, it's daft, but presumably as long as we're in UEFA we have to abide by their rules. Stupid.

    Everyone knows we have money, everybody knows we need players. But we are by no means the richest club in the Premier, and there are others whose needs are more desperate. Best keep a bit of a low profile, pick up what we can and then blaze in around the 29th-31st. Or in the close season.

    that was my thinking too. I like him and would like to see him at RB which is his natural position as opposed to Geremi who is played there instead of in MF by Chelsea. Though that said we've had a number of ex-midfielders who you've out to be pretty good right backs over the years Lauren never played RB until Wenger converted him. He was RM till then. Even so, how old is he now? He's been at the Arsenal for quite a few years. I doubt whether he'd cost as much as 7m.
