  1. In a five man, they're for 58-60. Mainly for 60 though.
  2. I stand corrected. Turns out the devs left it in.
  3. I've been toying with that idea for quite a while now and bent Nayson's ear about it several times. My idea was to create a guild and aim for ZG in the distant future, with character building (10 man raiding etc) being the main goal of it. None of this lofty, end-game wishful thinking guilds like PDX seem engulfed in with their "Lets do Molten Core even though none of us are anywhere ready for it!!!". Ultimately, it would be a chance to dictate who gets in and out and not have to put up with any rocket polishers or kids screaming for the contents of your virtual wallet. I still like the idea. The problem is that it's a hard one to decide if it'll work or not. It'll probably be sometime before we truly see it blossom but hell, I'm guildless at the moment and I'm doing fine. I can't see how having a guild would be a disadvantage in that respect. As for Int skilling weapons faster - it doesn't. I think it was something that the devs were toying with in th every early stages (which is why it appears in that manual with a question mark after it). It was an idea to make Int useful to melee classes but ultimately proved pointless.
  4. I have to agree with Nayson. The warlock you were fighting there was already ****. No level 60 Warlock could ever be taken down with those hits from full health...or even close for that matter.
  5. I doubt I'll be on when you get in Nayson. I'll be IN-MA-BEEEEEEED. Got lucky today in that Strat run as my Shadowcraft Pants droped (ooh err) from Baron. So now I'm 4/8 on my Shadowcraft armour set. It's coming along faster than I anticipated.
  6. Yeah Dan, I can enchant your boots. As for the highesr crit I've seen, it was a 5 (yes, five) figure number to the tune of 22,000+. Happened in Zul'Gurub (it's down to some kind of buff/debuff that occurs on a boss making it possible).
  7. What Dan means is that stealth for a rogue serves two purposes. The first if the obvious one in that we can't be seen. The second is that stealth for us is like shadow form for priests or stances for warriors etc - we can only do certain moves and openers when stealthed. As for Hunter's Mark, just to clarify if some here didn't know, not only does it plonk an arrow on your head and make you visible and targetable, it also makes you show up on the Hunter's minimap.
  8. And to follow up on this, one of the guys from the great party I mentioned in my post above this one was a Dark Guard higher upper. He told me that they've had a lot people complaints about Dudeimgreen. Infact, I didn't even mention the priest's name, I just said "priest arsehole from Dark Guard" and the guy knew exactly who I was talking about. He'll probably be getting kicked now. And now to follow up on the follow up. Dark Guard's GM just whispered me to ask me about what happened and basically told be that Dudeimgreen, or as the GM refered to him "Dudeimagobshite", is well known in the guild for thinking he knows everything better than everyone else put together and having a stinking attitude to go with it. Apparently, he's like that in guild raids too. More from Detective Sie later!

  10. Well, I know Scholo very well now, including all the tactics to beat the bosses and how to do it in the fastest time possible so we'll be dandy for that. Just finished a 5 man run in there now with a fantastic party. All had a laugh with no moaning or anything. The shaman was a bit of a weak link in that he made a few minor **** ups but nothing that screwed anyone over. The best part though was that I won practically every roll in there. On one boss for instance, everything he dropped was greed rolled and I won it all...plus, shadowcraft boots dropped AGAIN...and I won them too.
  11. Christ, why the hell are the Horde on Deathwing so utterly utterly shite at mass PvP? You'd think there was a **** picnic at the BM base in AB the way they just sit there the whole **** game. Then when they attempt to take any other bases, they all sodding run off in opposite directions!
  12. Word of warning. Never group with a Priest called Dudeimgreen (from Dark Guard). He's another one of those players who gets stroppy if you don't do exactly what he says, when he says it and tells you all to **** off if he dies. We just attempted a 5 man Scholo with him and we even back tracked the **** instance to get a quest item specifically for him. No less than 2 minutes later, we were branded n00bs, told to "stfu and play", to "mind our shit" when we asked him what his problem was and then he put me on ignore because I pulled him about it. Complete tosser.
  13. It's just the login servers. They've went down but I reckon they should be back up soon.
  14. The funniest thing about that screenshot isn't the Doomguard nailing everyone in sight It's the fact that Ikails has just joined Perfect Dark X. It just goes from bad to worse. For those who don't know who Ikails is, he's on par with Splatter as the biggest retard to ever grace Deathwing. If you thought Epicnemisis was bad when it comes to asking for stuff, you ain't seen nothing yet!
  15. The big raids are a long way off anyway but I'd rather not be associated with Perfect Dark X for that amount of time. The leveling in WoW really is only a fraction of the game. I've just been looking at some of the up and coming "key" chain quests and they're **** huge. Still plenty to do before raiding even comes into it. Infact, I'd say we have a good couple of months ahead of us before any serious raiding occurs. On another note Nayson, I had a look at your epic mount chain of quests and christ, you've got some work to put into getting that horse. I can certainly help out on the dark iron ore part of it and will no doubt be doing UBRS lots due to it being part of the Onyxia's key chains.
  16. Simply put, Perfect Dark X is now the laughing stock of the Horde on Deathwing. The recent over recruiting has killed off all the mature, respectable players that were once in it and it's now a guild full of idiot kids motivated by selfish personal gain. They constantly want baby sitting and nag you as they think they're entitled to the contents of your WoW wallet (being in the same guild means they are entitled to your hard earned according to most of them - Epicnemisis being the ubertwat for this). It's a guild made up of all the shite, irritating rejects that got kicked from other guilds. End game with them is a futile and painful experience. I even said to Nayson he wouldn't last two minutes in a raid with them before leaving said raid due to being fed up with them - the very next day, Nayson found this out and done exactly that. They haven't got a **** clue when it comes to any kind of team work. I will put money down now and say they will never get anywhere even close to doing Molten Core. The reason I joined again very recently was to test what they were like in ZG. Pdarkxnoemi wanted me to rejoin to raid with them and I agreed. Turned out to be a mistake. They just don't listen to each other. Seriously, if you want to keep enjoying the game or enhancing your character, Perfect Dark X is not the place to do it.
  17. Epics don't just drop in 40 man raids. They also drop in standard instances (of which you can do as 10 men, not just 5). Also, not all end game raid content is 40 man stuff. ZG for instance is a 20 man. The best thing for you Sion, if you want to do any of this without having to suffer, is to get out of Perfect Dark X asap.
  18. Here it is... Link Drop all three folders (once unzipped) into you interface/addons folder. Then once you're in the game, type /duf and select the profile called "Custom". Post here when you've downloaded it so I can take it back off my server.
  19. I'll upload it again because I've tweak quite a bit on it since then.
  20. Sigh. No disrespect Si, but have you played as a shaman? Your paragraph sums up what most people say, but the theory is different to the reality, as just about any shammy will tell you. We can melee, cast and heal, but our talent trees make at least one of these more or less redundant. I'm elemental spec at the moment, and even with 30 points in there, I bet one of my crits dooes less than half the damage of a comparative spell from a mage or lock. Because of this my melee is OK compared to a cloth wearer, but is miles behind a rogue or warrior. As for healing, without any points in our restoration tree, it's useless. Our main heal spell is no use at all in PvP one on one (it takes too long and is easily interruptable) and is mainly used after battles, or in groups. Our back up healing spell is better, but again needs the points in talents to make it work. I don't have any points in resto, so if I want to heal in battle I drink a potion, same as any other class. Shaman have as many classes that they do well/badly against as any other, and this changes depending on level and situation, just as it does for everyone else. If we constantly owned more classes than owned us, you'd have a point, but we don't. Anyway.... How could I forget Bicks last night by the way? Sorry mate, blame it on being on till 2am! I did AB a few times yesterday evening, and the carrot/spurs/enchant combo is amazing. I got to the flags first from the start every single time, for some nice bonus honor, then with the mod, as soon as you dismount you're ready for battle. I can't say that I have played a shaman but I have certainly been reading the arguments longer than you've been playing one. The main point of my post was that the balance is relative to level. Whilst leveling, Shamans are pretty much balanced in comparison to the rest of Warcraft due to being restricted by their talent points (something you just pointed out). Come level 60 with the right *Lvl 60* build and Shamans become arguably overpowered in comparison to other classes. Your thoughts on the Shaman are here and now with respect to your personal experiences whilst leveling and your restricted build (you ain't got all your talent points). I'm talking about final build, level 60 Shamans (as are the people who say they are overpowered, which I might add again, includes the developers themselves). It's a common occurance to duel a Lvl 60 Shaman and then have the Shaman himself admit his character is overpowered just after he's just tanned your arse.
  21. I should be around for that.
  22. Thing is, shamans are indeed overpowered at the moment. It's something the developers themselves have admitted and there are plans to sort it out in the future. Not being able to escape certain situations easily doesn't make the Shaman class balanced. Every class in the game has this problem. Class mechanics are based on rock, paper, scissors so being disgruntled because a certain effect can **** you over is futile because all classes have that. The imbalance comes from the fact a well played shaman can completely disable his opponent's ability to move effectively and/or escape, whilst the shaman both attacks and heals himself. Every other class has to make choices in a fight, weighing up if it's better to heal or stay and attack (druid would be a good example here). The reason is hasn't been fixed yet? Simply put, the class itself is balanced in terms of play mechanics. Everything fits nicely and it all works and as a result, other classes that need their mechanics sorted are being addressed first. The imbalance comes when you bring the rest of WoW's classes into the equation. Don't forget however that this imbalance is most obvious at Lvl 60. Class strengths against others is something that rapidly fluxuates while leveling. Just ask Nayson what his warlock was like 20 levels ago...
  23. It amazes me at how many other classes seem to think that a Rogue's ability to stealth is a simple perk, an additional treat which wasn't awarded to other classes, an unfair advantage that should be removed. As a result, unecessary bile is thrown at the class due to class jealousy. If a rogue couldn't stealth, we'd be like a Shaman without totems, a Druid without the ability to shapeshift, a Priest without the ability to heal himself, a Warrior without his armour and weapons, a Paladin without his bubble and heathstone, a Warlock without his Demons, a Hunter without his gun. It's the skill which defines and makes our class work. Yes, we can escape death easier than most other classes but then that's just one of the things we do best. We can't, however, take on multiple opponents (PvP or PvE) and we have no CC stuff at all in combat. To beat a rogue, take away his ability to escape the fight because that is our main defence (which many other classes often misinterpret as cowardice). This is why you will often find the rogue you just nearly beat reappears 5 minutes later - the fight never really ended, you just thought it did because he "ran away". On the flipside, our biggest combat advantage is being able to start fights and no one (not even rogues) likes being jumped. Hence why rogues get venom spat at them - we make players feel weak and vunerable which no one likes so we get scapegoated for their defeat. Hell, I do it myself with Paladins..."**** bubble, chickenshit blah blah". I suppose a difference there though is that you can disable a Rogue's ability stealth but you cannot disable a Paladin bubble. So, in summary. Love thy rogue!
  24. I'm toying with the idea of a NE druid at the moment, regardless of server type. I may miss the ganktastic fun on a PvE though.
