December psn games are lego 2k drive, power wash simulator and sable

Sable looks alright, been waiting a while for PWS so happy with that

They've really dropped the standard of the monthly games since the price hike.  My sub is due for renewal next month and I'm going to drop to the base level I think.

I was reading you have to have a smart metre. I dont have one of those so i dont quality unfortunately

Our "smart" meter display only shows us our gas usage which is kinda pointless.  Told the supplier numerous times but all the advice they offered was useless.

On the subject of displays, does anyone else think they make you a little paranoid about the amount of gas/electric you use. I know before we had a display the heating would have been on a lot more recently than it had been.  The house feels cold , we're over £1000 in credit on the account and it's still not in half the time it used to be.

  3. I'm going to finish this but I have to say it's just not up there with Bloodborne etc.  I'm in the mines at the moment so not sure how far through I am but once this playthrough is complete I don't think I'll be coming back for a replay any time soon.

Weak hamstrings causing back pain makes sense. I added in more posterior chain work (basically muscles that make you stand up right) and glute exercises which helped too. Has he got you doing leg curls, GHD machine, Romanian deadlift and bridges etc?

Doing planks would probably be a good one for you if you're not doing them already. Builds a very strong core and works posterior chain.

That link has a few other videos which are good. Working other muscle groups or full body etc.

Yeah one of the things I'm doing is leg curls, and he's added in planks into my core reps.  Thanks for the advice and encouragement mate, appreciate it 👍

Good work bud. Keep at it.

Tight hamstrings will definitely cause lower back pain (I've had it myself). What's your posture like? Are they tight as they're  weak and being overworked by the muscles at the front (hip flexors/quads)?

I'd still add some core work in as it's crucial for good posture and aids the big lifts and real World strength. As before, it doesn't need to be specific core work like sit ups (not a great core exercise anyway) but could be incorporated into another compound move.

I try and do yoga once or twice a fortnight and focus on my hips/hamstrings. The below video/series is a good starting point.

My posture isn't great, not bad but not brilliant either.  I think the hamstrings are tight because they are weak but I'm no expert lol. The trainer has given me some core exercises to do (not sit-ups though) which I'm going to fit in after a session and at home too.

Thanks for the link to the video 👍. My wife likes yoga so I've got a partner there already!

  6. Had my 1st month review with the trainer yesterday. Everything is going well but told him I wanted to strengthen my core because I suffer from a lot of lower back pain.  He knows I work in an office sitting down most of the day, so he explained it is probably caused by the group of muscles connected front and back to the pelvis.  Made me try and touch my toes, which I couldn't, then made me do some rather uncomfortable stretches, and after each repetition the amount of rotation around my pelvis increased a little.  He said he thinks by Wednesday I'll not have that back pain and my hamstrings should be less tight which all helps.

Again, want sure this was something I'd stick with but really enjoying it at the moment.

Yep, PS5 is how he communicates with friends but he also just wants to stay in and watch a program with us in the evenings. Baffling 😂

Glad it's not just our boys who are like that then....... Apart from watching TV with us 🤣

Ooh, and one last piece of advice from the PS5 owners; do I need to start looking for better sticks for the controller now or are they actually decent this time round?  The cheap rubbery sticks on my PS4 controllers came apart within a matter of months and I wound up having to replace them both with third party ones.

My original controller from a day one purchase needs new rubber on the stick so I'd recommend picking up thumb covers if you can 👍

Glad to hear you're still at it and it's getting easier. The first week or so is always a bit tough on the recovery. Why it's good to drop the weights right back down again if you've had a break. Leave the ego at the door as you'll soon bounce right back. It's a marathon and not a sprint so the most important thing is just sticking with it and having consistency. Finding what works for you and you'll go back to again and again is crucial.

I'm literally setting the weights up as low as I can on the machines I use.  If it seems like no effort then I do increase it after each rep.  There are areas of my body where there's very little strength/ muscle and if like some definition there.  I also want to keep working on my core because it's always been an area of weakness.

So far I'm enjoying the journey, it's early days but it's becoming a habit and that's never a bad thing with exercise!

@dubbs just finished my gym session bbefore setting off for work and thought I'd check in and see how your doing with your weight sessions? Warm downs working? Doms/joint pain easing up at all?

Cheers bud. I've been sticking to a routine for a couple of weeks.  Upper body Tuesday, lower on Friday plus 2 classes Sunday and Monday.  The aches seem to have lessened and I think it's down to actually using the muscles consistently.  Don't get me wrong they still ache but it's noticeably easier than 2 weeks ago.  I've got a review with the instructor on Friday where I'm guessing he'll change the circuits so I'm prepared for more pain!

Haven't been keeping an eye on the latest updates. I take it this is a common glitch? If so, that's a big big problem 😯

I've googled it and couldn't find anything. I had to reset the game 3 or 4 times before it returned.
