  1. Tough game tomorrow, I would like to see Green come into the team especially with us being at home and maybe keep Mcginn for a sub appearance

2-1 Kodjia and a Grealish rocket in front of the holte

Plus this is a speculation thread after all...

I love him to lol it actually looks like Swansea are in for him

I just get frustrated with the twitter bullsheet being discussed  as actual options

The Ryan Woods rumour came from a fake SSN account. Then thatcherlover (yuck) jumped on it and showed himself to be a fraud.

    This.

Why is this still a topic of conversation ?

We are not getting Ryan Woods - Move on

If it means Josh Ononymous  not coming back then im all for it.  Still think we should be giving our youth a chance instead of someone elses youth.

Green was in the side last season until injury and then as soon as he has come back is in the team.....

We built a team around Grealish when he was back from injury............

Kienan Davis played half a season until suffering burn out and injury........

RHM was in an around the squad but suffered injuries (Hence why Davis got ahead) but was in the squad towards the end of the season.....

Others were given opportunities in the cup..........

They will continue to be given opportunities if its felt they are ready which you would argue Woodburn is with International experience already &  in fairness to Bruce he cant afford to gamble to much as he will have the vultures circling around calling for his head

  5. We could no longer pay for the players food at bodymoor and were mortgaged up to the eyes balls this time last week........................

let that sink in and then back the decision of the guys who have effectively saved this club and get behind the man that they have backed

Would he be such a risk if a director of football came on board too, and implemented a style accross the club like Steve Round once promised? If we could take a direction and stay with it, then managers can come and go. It would mitigate the risk with Henry at least. I'm basically thinking what Southampton did.

Is Gabby that director of football maybe? ?

  7. The thing that doesn't sit well with me is Bruce went through a lot personally last season but never ever let the club down in terms of his commitment and effort, who knows how much that effected him and if that did prove the distraction that cost us, i feel he deserves one more shot at it.

In terms of Henry then if it did happen then the profile and focus it would add to the club for a new owner is off the scale so I can see the appeal and maybe with an experienced head like Bould next to him then it may work but its a massive gamble and im not sure it will be given the 2 years it may take to come through in terms of developing a style and team with the general impatience of football

Depressing read, I can't see people rushing ot to buy season tickets after that.

I wish he would stop banging on about still hurting though, smacks of playing to the crowd in my view.

Buying season tickets is exactly what people need to do - the 40k that we had vs boro and derby need to be there every week

The more I think about it, the more I think our best chance is to make it a long and tedious game as well :)

It goes against all my footballing principles, but bollox to them, we need to play some proper anti-football, not concede and try and nick one on the break.

Bruce won't have suddenly found the magic switch that made us play how they did against Wolves, and trying to do that and failing I reckon is suicide.

This is exactly what i was thinking, a Bruce tactical masterclass and nick it one nil

  10. Tough game but if we win it we put the pressure back on Cardiff - 27 points to play for and time for the fans to support and keep believing !

    1-2 Villa

Was it his choice yesterday? From where I was it looked like Wolves chose to turn us around. The crowd certainly thought so!

I think it was Terry, im sure Wolves kicked off?

  12. Preston have lost 1 in 17 and 6 all season having beat Cardiff Away and drawn with Wolves Saturday despite having 10 men ...........

We have our best 3 attacking players injured and expect to pile through them and then boo because we dont win.....

    So embarrassing at times......

Yeah, My Dad and I were stunned that he did not shoot from there. He was 18 yards out with no defenders between him and the GK. I am not sure what he was thinking with that attempted through ball.

Great cross in for Terry’s goal though.

Can only think its because it was on his right but still should have taken a shot on !
