Charlie Nicholas said 5-0 to City yesterday and also said he wasn't being disrespectful to Villa.
I think he's a way off with that estimate

Can anyone think of a player successfully returning to a club?
Genuine question, cos I'm struggling though sure there's some out there.
Drogba did ok returning to Chelsea, can't think of more off top of my head
-
Just got mine this evening, didn't think there would be that many left but there's loads. Managed to get my old season ticket seat that I vacated in 2012.

Whilst I have nothing against this personally, I thought we had evolved away from this kind of signing. If he does come back then I hope he does well and hits the ground running. Obviously not hitting the ground too hard though

Bodymoor Heath tomorrow
Smith: Yeah no, right lads, gonna do some passing drills today cos some of you cant
Most of Squad: Yes boss
Nakamba\Douglas Luiz: What's drilling boss?
Grealish walking away: You pass it to me mate, I'll do the rest
Douglas Luiz: Who's the opposition boss?
Terry buts in: We don't need opposition for passing drills Douglarse
Nakamba: So who we going to pass it to then

Why are we not up there with Liverpool ? Wesley out, Heaton out, McGinn out, no strikers. We’ve just got a draw away against Leicester playing with Taylor Nakamba and Luiz who are all dog shit apparently, so effectively three first choice players out injured and playing with eight men, I don’t get it.
Cos we've conceded about 300 goals in the second half of games, if we had managed to keep just a few of them out we would be top 8 or 9. Fine margins

Would love to see Nakamba’s pass success rate, be shocked if it’s anything over 20%.
Neil Taylor continues to steal a living.
Nyland looked more than capable of being number 1 until the end of the season, at least.
Grealish just head and shoulders above all others, if we could just get two more players on the pitch on his wavelength we’d be unreal.
20% is generous, I think it's much worse than that
Grealish had a tough night as not much going up front, but he worked hard and broke the play up well

Mings was brilliant
Nyland was brilliant
Grealish grafted on the dirty stuff
Nakamba was mostly terrible
Douglas Luiz was fully terrible
Nakamba was mostly terrible
They were the stand out performances for me
Would have took a point beforehand but little disappointed we didn't hold on cos of a stupid avoidable error
Game on

And Villa have gone full mental, I hope it works

Maybe Kodj being swapped for decent striker later today... not sure Leicester is the game to try this out

Folks, im from Northern Ireland and only really get to see the Villa in London. (Cheaper flights and i have free accommodation thanks to the Brother, moneys tight). It does mean sitting with home fans unfortunately though.
Anyway, my kid supports Villa, much to the abuse of his Man utd and Liverpool class mates. That's really the only two teams people support over here, but he didn't have an option as i have supported them for 35years.
So he turned 8 last week and all he wanted for his birthday is to go to Villa park for a match. London wouldn't suffice as he wants to sing for some reason.
I purchased a Claret Membership this morning to try and get us two tickets , 35 quid but get a 10 quid back for ticket so wasnt to bad.
Does anyone know if i can get two tickets with it, one for me and one for him ? Any replies appreciated.
Sorry should have noted, not trying to get ones for City game. Looking at spurs or sheff utd perhaps.
With your claret membership you can only get one ticket normally, unless they go on general sale.

Oh well, only watched last 25 mins as totally forgot it was Saturday. Not overly bothered with FA Cup anymore as none of the clubs are.

Football365 has a long piece about him today, it starts out funny but is a solid read overall.
Worth a read.
That's made me giggle and snort like a pig

Scott Hogan?
I'd rather have Wesley on crutches or in wheelchair being pushed by Heaton on crutches.
-
I'd take Giroud or the Belgian with name i cant spell. Loan for Giroud and permanent for the Belgian.

Kodjia has a chance in the cup to get up to speed as we are now relying on him and him alone.
This frightens the life out of me, we need to get one in and we need Amazon prime to deliver him

Happy with that, 3 great goals

This is the funniest thread ever. Yes we're Aston Villa, yes we have history blah blah... we are currently a newly promoted championship club, full stop... anyone wanting Allardyce needs to go and have a cat scan, Poch wouldn't come to Villa and I doubt Allegri has even heard of the West Midlands. We either give Smith the rest of the season or we get rid now. But if he is replaced by someone like Allardyce then we have learnt nothing.

Suso?
Drop under performing players, play Grealish in his best position. Like I said, summat isn't right

How was he behaving like a spoilt child?
Kicking the ball at a player on the floor, whose team mates granted made a meal of it. All the way through he was facing up to the ref and pretty much moaning about every decision. I get that he is frustrated but he is the captain and should behave like one
