    Its a pickle of a situation, £25m in the bank is a great return for Randy but how here-invests that amount into the team could be a defining moment of his tenure as owner.

    I get it, MON is consistantly slow at getting going, doesn't stop it from being very frustrating. I'm not saying we've necessarily missed out on anyone yet, I hope, but I would pretty much staek my left nad we won't sign anyone until we get back from Ireland so even more potential signing days wasted!!!

    According to the Metro today only ourselves and Blackpool haven't signed a player, and its just over 3 weeks until the start of the season. If MON signs any player now and moans about not having a pre-season under their belt only he is to balme!!!

    I'm curious to know the Genral's thoughts on our shirt release dates. It now seems that we're consiostantly one of the last kits released. The first year you can accept with a new manufacturer, the second year there were excuses this year it jsut seems the crap norm now?

    Off topic - How funny is Laursen's hair!! On topic - a 5 man midfield with two defensive anchors seems to be the formation de jour so Flamini and Petrov would look very tidy in that.

    The main beef Flamini seems to have at Milan is being played out of position, he'll love it at Villa then ;-)

    Another article says we're interested in Mathieu Flamini Honestly we must get linked every window with well over 100 players and sign less than a tenth of that. Also this must now be the lastest point we've had in a MON summer window without a purchase? I think we've bought atleast one player in previous summer windows before the 21st July, correct me if I'm wrong?

    It does make me laugh how this thread grows with no action happeneing. 256 pages deep and not a whsiper of movement at Villa Park. As suggested previously maybe next summer this thread could be opened only from the 2nd/3rd week of July onwards?

    What will people's opinion be if we don't sign players who didn't go to the world cup until August then MON complains they didn't have a pre-season at Villa? Keane or Ireland arriving in August for example?

    astonvilla direct.com haven't updated their new kit section yet, where will the new kit appear first, astonvilla direct, JJB Sports, Sports Direct or Kitbag?

    Just to summarise people's complaints Don't like the checks on the home or away Don't like the sponsor logo with tag line on home or away Don't like the red colour of the sponsors logo and tag line on the away kit Everyone seems to hate (myself included) the home yellow Tony the Tiger goal keeper kit The collars on both kits?
