And the one before him wasn't much better either

Feels like martinez is riding the same wave as Southgate, he can't be that bad he got to a semi final... He **** is! It's almost in spite of him not because of him

It’s also is matter of money (supposedly) They made him technical director as well to be able to afford him.

Is there anyone in the Champions League last 16 that would reasonably take him?

I know he’s after continuing to play in that competition to maintain his records to feed his ego.

Club Brugge if his wage demands are reasonable. Maybe Frankfurt or Leipzig just for the marketing.

  3. Vertonghen gave in interview regarding the Belgium game tomorrow.

when asked about the OneLove armband he responded 'I'm not comfortable to talk about this. Which says enough. I'm afraid I won't be on the pitch tomorrow if I speak about this'.

So obviously that's the headline right now and I'm sure our press will talk about this extensively the next hours/days

The only way I see Trump winning and it’s a really small chance is if Biden doesn’t run for whatever reason like he pulls out due to health and the Dems choose a candidate that really galvanises the Republican base.

That would have to be AOC, but I doubt she's running (or allowed to due to age) or Hillary. Other than that, I don't think there are that many Dems that are a hard 'no' for republicans.

It would be great if there was a proper standoff. England say we wear it, without punishment, or we don’t play.

Then Wales, Denmark and the others say the same.

Just to embarrass Infantino more than anything as he’s clearly promised Qatar anything they want.

I think Kane is one of the big names out there because of the popularity of the Premier League, so I doubt they (FIFA) want to touch him. Even the locals are more fans of players than clubs or countries.

If Messi would try something, I would like to see what the FIFA does, he is bigger than FIFA right now in the eyes of supporters around the world. Ronaldo, Neymar, Neuer, Van Dijk,... they are the faces of football, not Infantino or Qatar. However, I don't think these players want to get into this.

What's more interesting is if the Republicans will oppose Trump as a candidate or just nominate him directly. You would have to assume that if he goes through the primary process there's a lot dirt that will come out about him.

you would think that at one point, we'd have gone through all the dirt about Trump. Interesting if he would turn against DeSantis, because I think Trump might lose that.

No chance. No other candidate could raise as much money as he does. If they appoint a progressive they would lose. It is going to be two old men saying the same things again.

I’m in favour of Buttigieg. He might not be able to raise as much money, but he’s a centrist, articulate and has been on fox often enough and they got nothing on him (yet).

nobody over 65 should be allowed to run.

He's been undermined? seriously? way to phrase that he just wasn't good enough of a manager.

Garde, Sherwood, McLeish, DiMatteo,... were then also undermined by results? No, they were just not good enough, but they weren't friends with the pundits.

It doesn't really matter, if we by some miracle manage to scrape a lucky winner here. He should be gone regardless. We're going nowhere with Gerrard.

If we win and he gets sacked, his buddies at sky will say it’s ridiculous to sack a manager after back to back wins

I guess also typical villa style he’s only 3 proclamations in and I’m already Charles Out.

let's give him at least a pre-season and see how he does with his christmas speech

We can replicate this scene today if you like? (contains swearing)

But it probably won’t be as triumphant and enjoyable as that. It’ll be more like -

    “COME ON VILLA!!!!”

“Yep. Gerrard’s set us up not to lose today with that team.”

”Actually we look ok here. Ollie’s having a good game.”

    ”FFS Watkins”

    “****”

    ”There it is”

    “Knew that was coming.”

”Has McGinn made one accurate pass today?”

    “MAKE A ****ING CHANGE”

”Why does every team become world beaters when they play us.”

    ”Right lads I’m done.”

It’s like I’m following an actual game 😳

Genuine questions from an outsider, for those who do not like the monarchy. Why do y’all want to rid yourselves of the monarchy? What are the positives of changing to a republic that you don’t get with a monarchy? What is wrong with the monarchy staying intact since it is mostly a ceremonial post at this point?

I assume it's because they have faith that their elected officials will be better ambassors for their country and would be more representative of its people

    Southampton (Home)- Win
    Leeds (away) - Win
    Nottingham Forrest (Away)- Win
    Chelsea (Home)- Win
    Fulham (Away)- Win
    Brentford (Home) - Win

    Thats 7 wins there. That's 19 points.

Coutinho looks miles off a Premier League player right now so shouldn't be near the starting lineup.

Buendia should play but out wide as he isn't strong enough to hold the ball against the bigger players he faces through the middle.

With those in mind I would play something like this from now on:

    ----------------------Martinez---------------------

    Cash-----Chambers---Mings----Digne

    -----------Dendoncker------Kamara---------

    Bailey-----------------Luiz------------Buendia

    ------------------------Watkins---------------------

I was also thinking along these lines. our Midfield has been non-existent of late, so  this would/could be a better mix. I would switch Bailey and Buendia, according to transfermarkt Buendia prefers the right and Bailey the left.
