  1. I can't imagine he'll get sent down. Teflon Don - it could never happen. Could it?

If he does it could well be chaos over there for a while. All the MAGA loons taking to the streets.

I was responding to a comment where someone said he was the opposite of humble, experienced and motivated when at Villa with no evidence bar the eye test.

There was also part of the comment you quoted that talked about his partying too. I was merely playing Devil's advocate.

FWIW I wouldn't use that video as a reason not to sign him, at all. End of season, years ago, who cares.

I'd get him through the door ASAP if it's who our football management group wants.

Why you selling it then? You going full lycra and getting a racing bicycle?

Not quite, I just can't justify owning three cars and one of the two I own needs to be a shit tip I can ferry the kids and the dog about in.

As for the shirts, apologies for bringing you in here @NurembergVillan, but I believe I have either read or seen you say that that failure wouldn’t really fall on the CEO. That’s the manufacturers fault.

Nobody at the club should be on the hook for that fiasco.

When I was a kid you would always see villa kit on sale in sports shops in Ireland. Since about 2011 I don't think I have spotted any.

It's all to do with the distribution of the brands themselves.

We're more likely to sell more Adidas jerseys just because they will be more widely available.

Tbh, I assumed Adidas was going to be just as bad as some of the major sportswear manufacturers when it comes to the kind of child labour and forced labour we know certain other manufacturers are still benefiting from particularly in China. Pleasantly surprised to see that they seem to be leading the way these days.

In terms of clothing, I don't know anything about big sports brands being involved in non-compliant factories.

I can't speak for footwear because it's a different beast altogether, but there's no chance top-tier brands are making clothes - especially football shirts - in places they shouldn't.

If I use the player/authentic shirts, the cost price of those is often higher than the retail price you would pay for a counterfeit.

Anyway, we're OT. If anyone interested in discussing further please start a thread in OT 👍
