Just seen the report in tonight's Birmingham Mail about Paddy going to the Bolton match and sitting in the VIP zones afer the General caled him at home to see how he was. This is just fantastic stuff -- what a brilliant bunch of people we have running our club.I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere btw. Hope you get well in time Paddy.............

General, this is a fantastic move -- what a coup ! Seeing the legendary Ron Saunders again will be so special. This proves that the new board are truly in touch with the core fanbase. Lots to do -- but it seems Randy and the new board know what needs to be done and that it can't be done overnight..................

God, what a relief to see. Reebock make the Browns' so I guess there's a dual deal to be done here -- far better buying power now though...and a more in tune board. Carparking at VP is both costly and extremel;y poor as we all know -- eg the Serpentine is soooo s-l-o-w to get off it's untrue. Good to see that the new owners see what the fans see and don't ignore it either -- how completely refreshing.

Doug £llis did a good job in keeping the club solvent but lacked vision andm while you mention egos -- the guy had a real ego problem. As Bickster said -- how about re-naming the Doug £llis Stand back to its previous name of the 'Witton Lane Stand' I bet its in the aqcuisition terms that you don't do that ! Yes, you're right -- we were dealt a rough deal by Mr £llis who has even been on the board of our greatest rivals - Birmingham City Football Club. You Sir have already proved that you care about the fans -- and a big THANK YOU for buying our old Chairman out....let the good times return !

This is the week guys, it's gonna be celebration time alright... Champagne will be flowing and our mighty club will embark on its comeback trail. Let's not let it all be an aniti-climax......

OK guys........ Spoke with a carpark attendant on the massive carpark behind the Aston Villa Social Club last night. Asked him why there was just the two very narrow exits from the carpark as it takes ages and ages and zzzzzzzz ages to get off that friggin carpark. He said that no work had been done to improve the carpark as the Cormers wanted it but couldn't buy it as it was owned by AVFC, BCFC and a n other ... also said the B'ham council was run by SHA tosspots which was slowing the deal down. Anyways -- he said the takeover WAS happening, but assured me that the land tied to the deal was making the deal longer to close than it should. I drove away feeling better...then I woke up -- was this a reliable source of information ??

And more to the point, how does anyone make a profit out of football anymore ? 3 MAJOR revenue streams are :- > Finding young talent and selling on for a massive profit > Long, televised cup runs > Eurpean football The Cormers must be able to see that we're able to increase revenues massively under a new management team (root and branch surgery) or they will just bow out imo Being in Birmingham is a bit of a bummer too aint it...the land, whilst having a value isn't seemimgly THAT attractive to the Cormers who build 'exective' property unless diversifying into industrial developments............

BRING IT ON is all I can say......... Doug always says the same thing "show me the money". So Messrs Cormer, Cormer, Cormer and Cormer -- please show him the money in a feckin suitcase or 50. Pay him in cash -- let him count the stuff -- that would kill him - imagine the adrenaline as he goes 1 for Petchey, 1 for the plebs, 4 for me....... You know it makes sense Douglarse.

Petchey AND £llis could vote for this to happen and steamroll it through if they wanted to. IMO Petchey does -- £llis doesn't.

If the Villa is as badly run as people would have you believe on this forum, it'll be a doddle getting that 10% surely? It's badly run because the focus is on the wrong things -- rather than progressing the club, that 10% will be guarded like the Crown jewels.

Has anyone come across a more frustrating character than £llis ??? Christ, the blokes a nightmare. 80 effin 2 and still at the rudder........... man is that dire ?
