  1. Is it McLeish law that we can't play more then 2 passes along the ground in a row. Absolutely no passion, no shape and he's done nothing about it on the touchline.

Absolutle joke, get this fraudster out now we're getting worse by the week and I am really starting to fear for us, despite laughing off the possibility of relegation a month or two ago.

He's looked pretty vocal on the touchline. Then again, I tend to focus on the play at hand. We passed it around well in the opening 15 minutes. So you're wrong there.

What happened for the next 30 minutes we could be 4 or 5 down. Wolves went 1 down and the players responded and it hasn't stopped. We're now in the losing position and it doesn't look like it's gonna change.

    spot on
  2. I'm still firmly in the McLeish Out camp! Chelsea game was a big positive, there was many things I can still point to why he should go, Chelsea were poor and recent results for them have shown that BUT for the first time in only about the second full game from memory of this season I was not thinking of other things to do while watching the game. I was not depressed watching the game....frustrated at times, yes....but a bit of entertainment and more surprisingly a lot of that was due to Ireland, who I have considered one of the biggest waste of spaces in the past.

One game doesn't change my opinion and given who was out I wonder if it had been the same if those individuals were fit but that is just me being pessimistic. Let's start seeing this kind of performance consistently please....

During Martin O'Neills 3rd season we were above 6th 34 times in the season.... do opposition teams talk about our decline or us being poor when they beat us.... not bloody likely.

They just wallow in the glory of the win

It is our business to go out and beat the opposition it is not for us to busy ourselves worrying about why the opposition let us beat them or what problems they have today

This game we are all involved in can't be " heads you lose tails you lose"

I couldn't give a flying toss whether Chelsea have their youth team out and we beat them.....its their call.

PS Chelsea are now in transition..........so are we.

I meant who was out for us I.e. Heskey
  3. £24 mill for bent, id snatch liverpools hands off, given the way we've set up lately in our improved performances, Bent simply doesn't fit in.

With £24 mill I'd bid for Steven Fletcher/dembele to rotate with Gab, Scott Sinclair to provide competition on the flanks and finally Clint Dempsey to revamped our midfield.

We desperately need investment and I would blame Mcleish for taking that amount of money.

Sorry but I completely disagree with this. We should be building a team around Bent. We finally have a goalscorer at the club and you want to ship him off because of how we are set up. You then want to replace him with a number of players that aren't different to what we have in the club......makes no sense to me. Losing Bent would be a major setback for us in my opinion...

  5. In 35 years, I have never been so apathetic towards the club. It is part of my life and indoctrinated into my kids lives too.

Now, I cant be bothered to go to VP, I am not that interested if we win as it means that for just a few minutes it will make PF feel like he is a tactical genius to appoint McLeish, if we lose, I am not bothered as its sort of expected with McLeish in charge. My kids didnt get the kit this year, as not really bothered and to be honest, they dont want to be Villa on FIFA 12 anymore, they want to Barcelona or Madrid.

Totally apathetic and that is depressing in itself.

    sums up my feelings exactly
  6. If we can't create chances against an out of form Stoke side where are we going to get three points?

i think Stoke have won or are unbeaten in 6 games in a row so harsh to say out of form

Am not saying Eck is Mourinho but being criticized for not winning at Stoke is harsh considering MON never won there

Yeah but I think the point some are trying to make and that I am putting forward is this is a consistent problem across our season, we cant create chances.

A draw at Stoke as an isolated result is a good result but given how we have played this season as a whole, the fact that we dont create chances, the fact our best striker (who yes wasnt available today) has the least amount of touches in the premiership, our defence that has been leaking goals, we cant defend set pieces, our midfield gets run over most games, our new star signing in N'Zogbia is really struggling to settle, our captain struggles after 60 minutes in most games, our manager who has limited tactics (that's me being polite) and keeps saying after games that we played well (WTF) then peoples views are coming from half a season of football not really Stoke in isolation..........

  7. Still don't really see why he's rated so highly by many.
I completely agree. A few good passes here or there but I haven't anything else to get me excited by him, certainly have never thought he's the future of our midfield. My view seems to be in the minority, I just don't see what everybody else seems to see in him
  8. I know, I know, but once in a while I have to bite just to vent some frustration...........I know he's a bluenose, and it frustates me more that I do respond once in a while

What a load of **** shit!

I'm a bluenose because i wont jump on the band wagon that Lerner is this god awful terrible owner.

Nobody can seem to answer me why he wasn't a terrible owner when he was spending bucket loads and we had MON along with contributing to improving the infrastructure?

This thread and all the other bollocks spouting ones didn't exist then, why not; if he is this awful terrible owner?

Are we threatened with going completely out of business, to be a football club at all; because the way some folk are acting we are, its that bad apparently!

Then all of a sudden Villa fans are brown football experts, experts at running football clubs, experts and knowing what managers and players are coming.

All that Lerner has done all that terrible stuff like the training ground is nothing, thats terrible; well it would be if some Villa fans should be believed.

Get a **** grip, for some its an agenda, if he sacked eck, sacked PF got rid of all his money and earned it rather than being given it, made browns amazing told the fans every single thing, people would still have a problem!

There are more clubs in this country in the same position than us and a hell of a lot more worse off than us as well, yet some fans seem to think we're automatically should be doing this and that because we're Villa.

    Pathetic.

yet again you talk rubbish, you pick part of my response and not the full part. This was my answer to why I responded to you 'to bite' where I already stated what I wanted from Lerner which is nothing like what you mention above.......I said he has made some inept decisions......I also said I wasn't bothered about spending the money and all I wanted was a bit of a fight in games. So you pick part of my argument to suit your far fetched argument......read what I had said! No wonder nobody takes you seriously when you only pick part of people's arguments and then jump to the far extreme
  9. Is he really a bluenose? :?

If so, why the **** is he still posting on this forum?

There is something not quite right with his posts and are generally seem to be always on the windup and while we all differ in opinions you can tell this is not a difference of opinion but looking to be different or opposite of opinion of the latest poster.....hence reference about being the Bluenose, whether right or wrong he's a windup merchant

  10. Its quite simple the Villa fans should run the club, they already know SO much about what managers are available and will come, what players will, how easy it is to generate money (just make it) and all the other answers which usually means calling for PF head.

Quite simply if he hadn't appointed McLeish and had continued spending money he would be a good owner, because he is only a bad owner recently because he's not doing that and telling us about everything.

Villa fans continuing to be an embarrassment.

Spend money appoint popular manager, communicate = good owner.

Cannot afford to spend money appoint unpopular manager, limit communication = bad owner.

Communicate = still a bad owner its not what we wanted to hear.

Fans in general should be ignored, as we would have a new manager after every bad performance and would be billions of pounds in debt.

I'm sorry but that is rubbish and mostly because it is a generalisation and you have put something there to fit your argument.

I accept we arent going to spend a lot of money, that doesnt bother me, what does bother me is inept decision making i.e. the appointment of the manager. We all said that was a bad decision at the time and I think Alex is proving that and will continue to prove that. We arent going to win the league but what I do expect in each game is that we at least give it a good go about contesting that game, not wave the white flag before the whistle is blown. I expect the Owner to appoint a reasonable manager and what has Alex done to prove he is that?.....his record certainly doesnt prove that.

We all dont want masses of money spent, yes we would love it but we understand reality and where we are as a club and you have to just stop using that as your argument because a few might and have said that. I want to be proud of my club and team, and when we lose at least I can walk away from the ground and know at least we tried.......I cannot say that after the Spurs game......

Why bother responding to the Blue Nose wind up merchant. He just posts the same every time and never reads/responds to anybodies actual post.

I know, I know, but once in a while I have to bite just to vent some frustration...........I know he's a bluenose, and it frustates me more that I do respond once in a while

  12. Sitting 8th, 7 points off 4th having not played brilliantly for most of the season also having lost arguabley our 2 best players during the close season and only lost once in 11 games.

I'd say he's doing pretty **** well with all things considered.

We have lost twice in 11 league games!!

I stand corrected, forgot about Man City.

I dont think he's done well all things considered....compare the teams we have played to the ones we are about to play. This is a time when we needed points in the bag to cover the hard times that are coming over the next few months. We said at the beginning he needed to get off to a great start with the fixtures he had, his results have been ok at the very best although that wouldnt be my view
