    Now he's gone, I've got to say the levels of sycophancy towards him on here was some of the most cringeworthy and embarrassing stuff I've read on this forum or any other other.  "Tim aint gonna stand for X" and "Tim aint the type to Y", in some cases before he'd even let the ink dry on his contract, let alone before anyone knew the first thing about his personality or coaching ability.

    It's quite obvious to me that the reason he got so much love was for the simple fact he wasn't Lambert, which you could argue was fair enough. I laughed at the "Tim Sherwood team" bit, give me that over "We go again" any day. What the not so silent majority didn't seem to realise was that we, and most of the country were laughing at him, not with him. The man was a satirical masterpiece who lacked the self awareness to realise it.

    I remember reading an article just before he joined us where he said that Redknapp was a big influence in how he presented himself to the media. "No shit", you could be forgiven for thinking. Strip away the coaching ability, experience and tactics(and thats being generous to 'Arry),  what you're left with is a polished snake oil merchant, a slick mockney gobshite who will hang anyone out to dry in order to deflect criticism from himself, even if only for a few days, even if he knows the majority of the fans will see straight though it. Because ultimately it doesn't matter what they think, as long as there's an army of hacks on standby to flood the internet with articles about young British managers and why 1 win in 8 constitutes a decent haul, as long as the Linkers of this world can keep a straight face when congratulating someone for unfucking a team sheet at half time, as long as someone like Remi Garde can be dismissed by these same sycophants on the grounds that he's French and therefore is unable to grasp the complexities of the Premier League, the chancers will thrive.

     

     

    Now he's gone, I've got to say the levels of name calling and hatred towards him on here was some of the most cringeworthy and embarrassing stuff I've read on this forum or any other  .  Now let's stop it all and get behind the new Manager whoever it is.

    Oh well now youve all got your way. Can we stop with all the nasty personal insults. No one deserves that.  Round and round we go. Nothing will change long term while we have this owner and board.  Thanks Tim. Sorry it didnt work out. 

    Nah, the bloke is an absolute helmet and I'm delighted he's gone.

    He threw the players under the bus when things didn't go his way. It was never about Aston Villa for him. It was about Tim Sherwood.

    It speaks multitudes that he turned down two PL jobs before coming to Villa. In truth, the bloke has no right to any PL job. He should learn his trade like any other manager.

    Absolute chancer who talked his way into a big job and will now walk away with millions to reward him for his result.

    Hate him.

    I don't suppose any of these ex-professionals/managers/journos saying Tim Sherwood needs more time and shouldn't be under pressure have a valid opinion then?  They don't know what they're talking about clearly.  They MUST have been primed by Tim Sherwood surely ? Their opinion is different to the majority on VT so clearly they must be wrong - that seems to be how it works.   Yes?

    Sorry, I just think this thread now is really awful.    Whatever anyone thinks of The Manager, he is still at present our Manager.  I think the personal abuse being dished out is just awful.    We will see how long it takes for the thread on the next manager whoever it may be, to turn the same way. The problem is at the top and will not change until there is a change there

    Was annoyed at not being allowed to go along the road to get to my car at The Yew Tree for ages - the Blooz fans had to be let out first - and yet when we go to the Sty (or Albion) it is US the away fans that get penned in (at Blooz) and diverted for miles at Albion (and Wolves) - so why was it the Home fans who were inconvenienced this time?

    I have a bad feeling about this game. Put simply I think the will be up for this game more and want it more...... I really hope I am wrong about this but I could see them winning a tight game 1-0.

    Where's ya fighting spirit and never say die attitude Harry?  We want it more than them.  Villa to win 3-0.

    ....you never no we might just cause an upset!! 

    Was just going to say the same - listening to Talk Sport this morning, I think the Upset will be if Villa win!!!

    It's pretty clear that Tim divides opinions on here - some people decided, as soon as he was appointed, that they weren't going to like him . It's almost as if certain people would love to see him fail.   I think he's great.  He has so much personality and charisma.  I don't find it to be "cockiness" at all - he is just what we need right now .   I do have great respect for the posters on here who admitted that they didn't want him and weren't happy but now say that they have changed their minds.  That's fair enough.   Others, just seem to have their own Agenda.

     

    Last night's game was so exciting - the best entertainment we've had for a while - all of us around me said the same.   

     

    I now skip through posts using the words "tactically naive" "tactics Tim" "cocky" etc.   Strange though that,  at Villa Park itself, and away grounds, the fans there seem to be right behind him in the main.   He is learning yes, but he can grow and Villa can grow again with him.   I would also think that all decisions aren't just down to Tim alone.  He is bound to consult with Ray Wilkins and the others.  

     

    For me, it's very much a case of "Tim Sherwood's Claret and Blue Army"  - onwards and upwards

    Ian Taylor blamed Guzan on Tom Ross show last night as well - he said Amavi shouldn't have tried to do what he did but he said Guzan with all his experience should have known better

    Are there seven prem teams missing - those involved (or were in West Ham's case) in Europe?   That will mean 31 clubs going into the next round?   How does that work - surely we need 32 teams to keep the numbers correct?  I am confused!

    Has something happened with Villa and Free Radio, I tuned in at 5.20 and until the end at 6 all i heard was BCFC. I know it is biased towards them but this was just as if they werent able to talk about us or something.Anyone know ???
