I dont see what is so special about Sissoko. I know the dippers were touting him as the next Veira but he really isnt. He's a solid player but nothing more. Thats just my opinion.

I agree Cybervillan and I'm sick of hearing about Spurs, an average to decent London club who have spunked millions and are no closer to CL football. Now lets move on, forget about it, whatever.

I think Osbourne will be better than Sissoho. In the meantime, we can do better.

Not this nonsense again. I remember the Ashley Young saga and Glastonspur claiming that he was going to Spurs even though I knew he wasnt. I wouldnt give any of his ITK stuff any creedence to be honest. Back to Villa matters please. I have less than 0% interest in anything Spurs do.

We're going the other way and he might fancy a bit of it. Villa are starting a wonderful journey under the stewardship of a great board and a great manager with plenty of resources, the finest training facilities in the land, a better location and a squad showing all the early signs of great potential. Newcastle are stagnating, 80m in debt with a half a squad of crap players including no defenders of any quality at all and no manager, all under the stewardship of perhaps the biggest eejit in football history. That said, Owens recovery is not so obvious at the moment. Who knows how much pace he's lost. He would have to be heavily evaluated and that probably wont happen before he's played several games for Newcastle (or more likely, England). My first choices would still include Bent or Huntelaar.

Links? What the hell do links mean? Nothing. The press have as much idea about whats going on as anybody. If you want to read any old 2 bob fantasy with Villa mentioned, fine. It doesnt mean anything in the article is true just as being ignored by the media is no indication of us being idle.

My thoughts: Neill is a good player although he can be a total knob. Neill is NOT world class. Neill is not worth paying 50k p/w or anything like it. Bardsley will be a better player (just a hunch). And he will be a Villa player.

I prefer it that way. The world will know our business when there is something to say.

I dont agree at all, Cyrus. RAL may be a business man, but if he wanted to make a load of cash there are far more profitable ways of doing this open to him. He is here for fun but that doesnt mean he wont want to make Villa profitable too. Villa will not be profitable for a year or two whilst the money that needs to be spent, will be spent. Also MON has been limited in previous jobs as to what he could spend. He has never had a large budget so he's had to get bargains. Not so anymore. Well, not so much. And with Bouma, Barry and Samuel, I hardly see the need for a LB. Its one of our most catered for positions.

I think MON should worry about getting his team how he wants it and forget about appeasing supporters. After all, he's a better manager than all of them and if he gets it right, they'll be appeased anyway. Get it right rather than get it quick.

Yes. But having said that, I believe Villa to be a fairly attractive destination now and I also believe that MON WILL get his men. Sooner or later.
