Sorry I have been off the net...having trouble logging in. John is helping. 2. The weekend has been magnificent. Friday's Fan Appreciation Night for the 82 Squad was very special. The Squad was so appreciative of the warmth displayed by everyone. They signed autographs until 11:30 pm and did so until the last person in line got one. 3. The game was fantastic. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. I know that some folks weren't enamoured with the idea of the scarves but......what an impact!!!! Both the 82 Squad and the current Squad couldn't stop talking about what all the scarves waving looked like from the Pitch!! The play was superb!!! A portent of things to come. 4. The day at the Training Ground was also superb. 1700 fans showed up and had a great time. There is no doubt that we have the best Fans in the world! My hand is still sore from greeting people!!! I think there is NO doubt that we have the finest training facility in Europe!!! 5. Tonight we have the formal dinner and I will make sure that the 82 Team knows how much you respect and admire what they did for the Villa. 6. Finally, Randy had a great time!!! He was so pleased with the entire weekend....and the response from the Fans. I hope by now that everyone realizes we have a VERY special owner.

We were linked with the midfielder M'Bami last week - I presume it's probably to watch him play.

General, Is it possible to get the video they showed before the 82 squad came on put onto the OS - perferably on the non pay section so that us using macs are allowed to view it! It was put together really well.

Ian - it is. It's Barton's wife and son there.

However, the answer is as follows: "The plan is for them to appear around 5pm with the European Cup...spend some time out on the pitch and then (hopefully) stay out there to clap the current team onto the pitch as well. We've also got a 5 min promotional film containing highlights from a film showing highlights of the final and bringing in footage of the current team as well which will be showing in the build up" So there you are then! Sounds good to me!

No chance. We are still at the stage of looking at the Manchester United reserves at the moment. The Cafu type of player is still a long way away.

I think buying half the West Brom team would be a mistake.

I'd be very suprised if Newcastle let Milner leave. I think there are better players than him around in that position.

Been thinking about it - does anyone know why Sidwell wasn't playing? injured? Suspended? Or is it 'mysterious - ie, he's off to Newcastle in the summer? I think it could possibly have been Milner - I think MON would still like a right winger.

Nope. But they weren't saying they were firmly believed Reo Coker would be signing - you said that - so I replied to it. I was just making the point that last time the transfer window came people were certain about a few players, and most didn't come. You were certain we'd sign Richards, we ended up with Bardsley on loan. No need to come out guns all blazing. I just think falling into the trap of thinking we'll sign these types of players again may be a bit silly as I'll end up disappointed when it's a 'Bardsley'. If that's supposed to be a dig at me, you will actually find that I was the only one on here saying he wouldn't be signing for them. Lets keep it on the purpose of the thread, eh?
