You've got very decent British managers who are progressive thinking and can do the job as well IMO.
Howe? Potter?
I'm strange in that way, for national teams, I genuinely prefer when the manager is a National of the country.
I think Potter would be great for England. Small thing but compare Potter’s to Southgate’s ‘the coaches voice’ tactical breakdowns.

Just reading that reportedly the reason Edouard to Leicester has broken down was due to a so called “Rodgers-Tax” they levied to the fee after he walked out on them … May be BS but wouldn’t be surprised and makes sense they have moved onto Daka. I’d be offering them £15mill plus Hourihane.
Is that more or less than the McGinn tax?

England beat Scotland and then lose on purpose against the Czechs to get an easier draw

He clearly more attack than defence at Inter in 352. Stats and highlights says as much. Can't see us going 352
Maybe with more options in the squad, differing formations will be considered. Smith strikes me as the type who would want to embed a new formation in preseason.

I do wonder why people are struggling to grasp this.

Just got in and heard of this. Was it definitely cardiac arrest as being suggested here (administration of CPR)?

I'd love big name player X Y and Z but just basing on comments from Smith and Purslow going back a while such as we need to qualify for Europe before making more big signings, not to sign them in hope of qualifying but missing out. The only caveat is if board see bargain available they will fast track the signing if makes sense
What do you think about the JWP rumours?

According to Gregg Evans, when Jack is with his dad pregame they play Atomic by Blondie to get Jack pumped up. Could there be a terrace chant in this.

For those who have seen Sarr play, how does he compare to Camanvinga who is similar age and position and very highly rated?
I prefer Camavinga's hair.

Depends what you put into the word physicality. Roughness? Maybe. But when you look at the entire package like acceleration, pace, agility, strength, jumping ability and so on, I think there's a bigger difference than people imagine. The PL is an exceptionally high tempo league.
FWIW, what the hell is the English word for bouncing off the ground, or the ability to make a jump? We have this word in Norwegian, which I would say falls into the physical aspects of the game. Like a Ayala and Cannovaro had exceptional heading ability for their height due to their timing and ..... I can't for my life figure out what it is. I would expect you to have such a word considering you have about 10000 more words than us.

And Lukas Nmecha who won the U-21 Euro's for Germany last night is supposedly available for as little as £7m since he only has 1 year left on his contract with City.
Didn’t he also score 20 goals in Belgium on loan last season too?

Edouard is apparently available for 15m who's 23yo french u21 international and people are talking about Chris Woods, 29yo for £30m.
It’s crazy the amount of value that Leicester seem to be extracting.

It would feel so empty winning a trophy at Man City. It would evoke absolutely nothing, and the rest of the football world greets every trophy added to their cabinet with complete apathy.
The only attraction as a player I guess would be to be able play alongside the likes of De Bruyne etc.
I deffo get that vibe too. It seems the main draw is like a band of brothers, that you’re playing with this collection of players and coach. When they win a trophy, they turn inward and celebrate with each other. The Etihad doesn’t help. Imagine you could deploy this coaching team, this group of players, this footballing hierarchy to the other side of Europe and it would not change the feeling. The fact that it is at Manchester City is irrelevant.
I think City supporters feel this emptiness too. I know City supporters that are pretty apathetic now, where once they were blood and thunder in the Division 2 playoff. I also think this is why they feel victimised and search out any criticism. They want to feel something. The whole psychology of supporting the club has shifted upside down and it does not feel right.
Listen, I have lived in Manchester pretty much my whole life and I really appreciate how the Abu Dhabi United group have regenerated and invested in east Manchester. Yet it all feels ‘soulless’ and inorganic.

But faceless agent villa said so though.

I think there are similarities in our transfer of Barry to City. Who, at that point were our ‘rivals’, although the writing was on the wall. That said, Barry did kick up a fuss, professing a want to play CL football and thought that it was more likely with City. No such rumblings from JWP. It seems that if it was to come to pass it would be Southampton that were ‘entertaining’ it, in a bid to create revenue to reinvest in other parts of the squad.

The only thing that might lower the price is they are short of cash at the moment. Chinese owned and we know the issues there.
Perhaps... Article from 2020QuoteBut last summer (2019) in Shanghai in a rare interview, Gao suggested he wanted Saints to be run self-sufficiently.
He told the FT: “I am not treating Southampton as a pig to be fattened and sold.
“I am treating it as a child. But my children must believe they cannot depend on the boss. I have said to Southampton: ‘I am now your father. But I am putting you on the right track: you need to feed yourself.”
Plus global pandemic since then...

No transfer substance. This is lazy fluff piece.
Hardly a shambles though. That implies the journo is just making up a number transfer rumours. From what I know, Doyle does not. He has done a few in depth interview pieces: Smith, Konsa and Luiz .
