  1. A good performance but at the end of the day we let in 3 goals in the second half at home and lost after being 2-0 up meaning we get 0 points and we are being dragged ever closer to the relegation zone.

With Man City and Arsenal coming up we could find ourselves in the relegation zone and below Reading by the time we play them at the end of the month.

These are the facts and the only thing that matters.

Yep. The world is black and white. Either you win or you are shit. No middle at all in football.

  2. Yup, need to cut your Gabbert loss. The kid has all physical attributes but his accuracy and decisionmaking is not up to par.

Problem is there is not much coming out. I do not believe in Barkley, he has a team with a ton of talent but has never won, and we are starting to see Geno Smith is not the prospect some would like him to be.

Then you have Tyler Wilson, Bray, and EJ Manuel. None of those guys are first round quality. I like Aaron Murray, but he won't be this draft. Maybe Bridgewater comes out early.

Point is I do not think there is a quarterback worthy of number one. That being said, Gabbert was not worthy of number 10 either.

  3. Cahill wanted to stay at Villa.

MON did not have him in his plans and Cahill wanted to play football.

They mutually agreed and Cahill departed for Bolton.

Another solid personnel decision by MON.

  4. We all know the injury is bollocks.

Do we though? Players do get hurt in training. It it certainly not inconceivable.

My view is PL had no trouble leaving him out of the team healthy, so what does it benefit him to lie about Bent's ankle? In fact, we need Bent to be healthy and playing at least a bit of we want to sell him come January.

I think this is a real injury that just happened at a suspicious time.

  5. Yeah, fine, so he approached them, but so what! The man has passion and a desire to play for Aston Villa football club. We've had too many players over the years who wouldn't give a toss and would be happy to sit on the bench and collect their inflated salary.

One of my favorite arguements. The patented "yeah but still."

  6. And Delph and Albrighton today.

I believe Delph was rest. Albrighton and Given are good examples. Still can't get over how shit Delph and KEA were together and how many times in a row he ran them out there.

Point is I came into the year thinking Lambert was that kind of manager. Maybe he is and we just do not have options in midfield. Time will tell.

  7. One thing I will say for Lambert's tendency to make 24 changes every week is that players will know that poor performances will get them dropped.

You say that, but the only person I remember him dropping for performance was Nzog. Maybe Bent is on that list too.

Our midfield has been awful for a month, but it took a suspension to get a change.

  8. Its more about balance in that Delph and KEA are too similar whereas Westwood and Bannan complimented one another better as they are slightly different players. One prefers to sit while the other likes to go forward.

Will be interesting to see who Lambert plays in midfield against Man U?

I think this is correct. Have been screaming about Lambert playing Delph and KEA together for a while.

  9. Yes it was meant to be condescending in reply to similar posts referring to Carroll, Fletcher and Berbatov but at least i am honest enough to admit to it.

I truthfully do not care. It is fun to read you ladies cackle on. Have at it.

  10. Its just very condescending and maybe a little insulting to suggest that fans don't know the difference between reality in a football club and something on a games console.

Let the children play a little BJ10 before they are put to bed.

Oh hypocrisy. How you taste so sweet.
