Lichaj throws it into the goalkeepers hands. I really would rather be playing Hutton or Warnock
Lets not get carried away.
-
And our CB makes the most driving run of the second half. Says a lot.
-
I think the feed is making it look a bit more keystone cops than it actually is
Yes. The feed is making us misplace passes and have no cutting edge...
-
Just had to go to the AVFC web site to find out who Derrick Williams is.
Cling on for the draw I say.
That appears to be Lambert's plan.
-
Give over - go for a win and we will end up with nothing
If that is true, it is a crushing indictment of our ability to avoid relegation this year.
-
So we are admitting we are shit and can't go for a win against a team with only 5 points? That is unacceptable.
-
-
We need a change. Surely PL has to see that.
-
Don't we have an equipment manager that can see our players are slipping all around and put the long cleats on at half time?
Don't we have a manager that sees his system is not working and changes it at half?
I have been kind to Lambert, but this is unacceptable.
-
We do not have the midfield for us to rely on the fullbacks to push forward, and Lichaj certainly does not have the attacking ability to be relied on for width.
This 5-3-2 is awful. We need a change.
-
We get nothing down the wings. Have to get some real width in this team eventually.
-
Guess the scouting report on our young back four is the long ball works.
-
It is fairly clear Benteke is the best player on the field. More of him in January please.
-
That was close.
-
Lichaj has looked a bit clumsy at times already
Agreed. We need Bennett and Stevens back. And Vlaar. And Dunne. And Nzogbia.
Shit. Could we get a bit of luck already?
-
As good as Benteke is attacking corners is as bad as he is defending corners.
-
Could these announcers be anymore on QPR's jock? They are acting like the goal was COMPLETELY against the run of play.
-
Get in. Love it.
-
The "Redknapp effect" really worked against Sunderland.
-
If I never hear the term "Hollywood pass" again it will be too soon.
-
Do not like Altidore for us. If we did bring him in, he would be a squad player because he is certainly not better than Benteke and he does not possess the skill to play in the Gabby/Weimann role.
I do not think an out and out forward is what we will be in for January. We will most likely sign CAMs and Wingers to play Gabby and Weimann's roles then rely on those two for depth at forward.
-
He just doesn't look right with hair.
Was going to say the same thing. That being said, he looks weird without hair.
-
The only thing he doesn't have is pace. He's not the quickest.
There was also a time last night where the ball went towards the corner and Benteke just left it, couldn't be bothered to chase it so Weimann chased it from the other side of the pitch, and got to it.
If we are thinking of the same play, Benteke was offside.

I get the impression some fans would have no problem with consistent mid table finishes in the future. Some have made it clear they have no problem with relegation.
And like Trent said I think Lener would be over the moon with that level of stability.
Come now John. Those that have said they would want Lambert retained even if we are relegated are not saying they are fine with relegation. They perceive Lambert as a good manager with a plan for the future, and if one step to sustained top finishes is a season in the championship, that is a hit they are willing to take.
If you disagree about Lambert and the direction of the club, that is fine, but do not construct a straw man to argue with.
Just on a side note. I think most of the ridiculous arguments that happen here come down to people taking what someone said, contorting it into the most extreme example of the opinion put forth, and then they argue with that extreme opinion. No need to do that.

Shitty 4 points, but 4 points nonetheless. Onwards and upwards I guess.
