If he goes to Chelsea they'll be much stronger. When Costa is out now they have been using Drogba (who's past it/leaving) or Remy (who isn't really the type of player they want up front alone). If they can pretty much guarentee having Costa or Benteke as there striker for every game I think they'd win everything.
So I think they'll come in for him. Only thing is they paid £34m for costa (I believe), so I doubt they'll be looking to spend more than that on Benteke.
Wasn't that Costa's release clause though? Plus Benteke being younger.

I doubt it. West Brom have announced their pre season plans and they have pretty much confirmed they are in advanced stages of a possible takeover. Must admit it's a bit odd we haven't announced our plans yet but probably has very little do with a takeover.
I'd be surprised if Albion are taken over, Even Pulis was stating the other week he'd be surprised.

Aston Villa target Massimo Luongo could join a Premier League side before the end of the week, according to Swindon chairman Lee Power.
The Australia international is one of the stars of the Swindon side who were thrashed 4-0 in the League One play-off final against Preston at Wembley.
Having failed to win promotion to the Championship, Town fans are bracing themselves for a summer of departures and the man most likely to leave is Luongo.
Villa are big fans of the midfielder after manager Tim Sherwood worked with him during their time at Tottenham.
It has been reported that Villa have made a £3.5m joint offer for the 22-year-old and his team-mate Ben Gladwin, another of Swindon's key men this season.
And now chairman Power has been quoted by The World Game as saying they already have three offers on the table from top-flight clubs.
"Something could happen this week," Power said. "We have three substantial offers in from Premier League clubs and we need to sit down with Massimo and his advisors and decide what to do.
"The numbers being mentioned are around £3 million, which is good money for us and we'll be pleased with that.
"Mass has come from nowhere to become one of the key men in the Australian team and he will be a fantastic asset for someone."One day he will play in the Premier League – and it might be as early as next week. We are not going to stand in the boy's way."

I think if Chelsea come in for him, that's where he will go no doubt about it. He is very good friends with Hazard, and no doubt Hazard will big him up to Mourinho if asked.

Bacuna will be a frustrating winger. I would leave him at rb for now. Cb pairing should be Clark & baker and a new lb
AVFC
Baker and Clark at the back, what you been drinking? They are a terrible partnership at the back.

I think Gil is gone, to have Joe Cole ahead of you speaks volumes.

I honestly can't think we can read too much into Tim's thinking on his side, let's not forget the current set up got us wins vs Spurs, Liverpool, Everton a good performance at City. It was all about staying up.

Honestly don't think Villa will do a exchange on this, they were pretty clear with Spurs on it too. The fee will be in line with Bony/Lukaku. Honestly don't think Liverpool will be able to afford him. It also depends on how hard CB pushes for a move.

Glad he's signed and for 2.5million, we really won't get anyone better than him. Considering the prices mentioned for Luongo who has never played at Championship level is 4Million.

Hasn't Bacca got a €30m buy out clause and thats a lot for a 28 year old with no sell on value. Great striker but beyond us I think. Isn't there another young Belgium striker around we could buy. Austin wouldn't come cheap.
There is a young Belgian striker at Brugges. Obbi Oulare

For me Guzan hasn't really pushed on his ablity, maybe he became complacent knowing he's No1. But as mentioned above he's let a lot of soft goals in.

We love making things difficult, can't see us winning on Sat.

So Newcastle have one defender available, their ineffective captain. They will be playing midfielders at the back - against the baggies who like a set piece. It will be at least 2 goals to WBA. Sunderland go away to Everton who will want to prove a point after losing to us. Leicester must play Saints at their place - that one I cannot call. We beat West Ham and it's practically over - almost definitely over if Leicester lose too.
Not anymore, allegedly.
He's still their Captain, he issued a statement yesterday to the fans to pull together.

When is his contract up? Worth a new deal on current form. Always been a fan of his. Long term not sure who first choice right back should be as Hutton not done a lot wrong.
He has 1 year left. Okore has two after this season, both need to be tied down to longer deals IMO.

It's that time of year when random results start coming in, got a feeling they may just knick it against SouthamptonI think both Sunderland and Leicester will be above us after Saturdays games
You may be right on Leicester but Sunderland not so sure.
So what's to say we won't?
We could, but we play Southampton away (they are unbeaten in last 4 at home), Sunderland home (Saints haven't won away since 7 Feb at QPR)
We play West Ham and Burnley while Sunderland play Arsenal and Chelsea, I know which fixtures I'd rather have.

Is he next seasons number 10 then ? - or does he go back out wide ? - hope he flourishes in the no 10 role myself - thats would make best use of his passing skills IMO...
He has to stay in that role as No10 for me, to float. When played earlier in season he was stuck out wide and it was pretty regimented, fair play to Sherwood to allowing him float behind so he's not against a full back. Still a long way to go but his confidence is growing.

What exactly has Senderos been injured with? His situation has been bizarre. He was pictured training with the squad back when Lerner visited a not soon after Sherwood's appointment. Didn't he make one of the matchday squads recently also? Yet seems to be unavailable again.
He was back in the training pictures last week, I'd assume he isn't far.
-
Fans do not want to sell him, however the bigger picture is Benteke is too good to be in a team that scraps relegation every season. That may change next season but it's a big if, he has put himself in the shop window and the one thing is he will only be sold if the deal suits Aston Villa.

Every team in the league would stand a chance of getting something here except us. We simply do not cause any shocks anymore.
With Okore injured and Clark one tackle away from a suspension we are really struggling to put out a defence. I do worry we could be in for a pasting here if Tim sets us up to go for it. Whatever team we field I can't see past a very comfortable win for United.
You sure every team has a chance of getting something at OT?
Also Vlaar is fit for Saturday according to his AVTV interview.

First goal is important. I think only the Leicester home game in the league is the only time we've taken sonething having gone behind. We've taken the lead in the last 3 and managed to win all 3.
Will be difficult, theyve been a good side for a while tbf. Were unlucky against plop the other night. Hopefully we can stay solid at the back and let those deadly duo upfront take care of bidness. Win will be huge.
We took the lead against Stoke.

Think when Cleverley goes, Gardner will be given a chance.

He's also the chap who convinced Rodgers to sign a bunch of nobodies from Spain.
