    I don't care if the next manager is 20 years old or 90 if they preside over a relegation season then they will rightfully be sacked. You can't excuse failure no matter how old someone is. If they aren't ready for the job due to a lack of experience then don't employ them but don't use it as an excuse for failure. So anyone should build their team as well as finishing mid table, thats not hard is it! Villa fans are a big part of the problem, we seem to think its some sort of divine right to be up there regardless of the team.

    If the manger is young, whoever it is should be supported for years, even if they relegate us. Support shouldn't turn on and off, if its clear what they are trying to do then its going to take years not months.

    I hope he is our new manager. Just to at least try and play football properly would be a refreshing change. Fingers crossed it happens.

    I hope whoever is appointed OGS or Lambert or whoever (youngish) is given time, years of time. Relegated in the first season he should still be supported by us, it will take time for them to stamp their authority years not months. Villa fans have been part of the problem for far too long, even now people are getting their little digs in and drawing their lines in the sand. Even if your not impressed support whoever it is for **** sake!

    I think it's clear it's not finalised. It might actually be what has happened he has just had a chat. I doubt we have offered him the job and even if we have he wont just bugger off and leave his team currently.

    I hope Villa fans don't live up to our reputation. Skeptical or not support our new manager, he needs time from the owner and from the fans. Terrible first season, still needs time. It's clear Lerner wants someone who will be around for years and build his own team. Get the bad eggs out earlier doors, or tell them who's boss will be a big first step!
